As the Constellation ventures into 2015, it is with sincere appreciation I am reflecting on the overwhelming response from all of you towards the Nomination of The Constellation for the 2014 Health Systems Social Media Awards.
It was truly inspiring; it offers hope for what the Constellation can achieve with our accumulative support to local response. Seeing the endorsements was great, but seeing that it came from all continents was so exciting! Showing that 'seeds of SALT'…

Dear Friends of the Constellation,
As a celebration of our ten year anniversary, please find below a Declaration on the Universal Right to Dream. Does it resonate with you? Shall we make it our Constellation manifesto, for people to sign all over the world?
Happy holidays!…

What should projects accomplish… and for whom?
An unnamed international non-profit client contacted me to evaluate their resilience project mid-stream, to gauge prospects for sustainable handover. EUREKA, I thought! After email discussions with them I drafted an evaluation process that included learning from a variety of stakeholders, ranging from Ministries, local government and the national University who were to take over the programming work about what they thought would be most…

Robyn Stratton-Berkessel interviewed Jean Louis Lamboray, Chair of the Constellation. I got to know some aspects of the Constellation story which I did not know before and thoroughly enjoyed Robyn's sweet voice and JL's humour. This also demonstrates the power of Podcasts and how hearing a voice, emotion in the voice, laughter, interaction between the interviewer and the interviewee can connect you greater with the person and the story. Thank you…

In mid-November I attended the Festival of Learning organized by the Asian-South Pacific Association for Basic and Adult Learning (ASPBAE) in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Unfortunately no member from the IndoCompetence team could participate in the event.
During the Festival of Learning, I had an opportunity to join an exchange visit to a local NGO, Lentera Sahaja – Perkumpulan Keluarga Berencana Indonesia (PKBI), which was the Youth Service Center of Indonesian Planned Parenthood…

We were heartened that 35 parents responded to our call to be part of a team tasked with the challenge of addressing a concern or problem in their neighbourhood. With the help of Kiran Kandade a volunteer facilitator, we introduced the Appreciative Inquiry framework as a way of building a team around what works rather than trying to fix what does not.…

I am sad about the US in-justice demos and Uganda's maid who battered a two year old and the youth with a toy gun also killed. I believe CLC has a very long way to go. Don't you think so?

Why this blog today?
This morning, at office, a colleague of mine came to me to discuss on how we value communities land in face of mining project development that are compulsorily removing them from their original place to other resettlement places, while compensating them as for established in the Mozambique law. The Resettlement Regulation (Decree 32/2012) states more or less that when communities are resettled due to development of economic projects, including mining, they must be…

All communities need angels. Angels are the people who carry the messages to and from people who can you make your dreams come true.
Dreams come true when three kinds of angels carry the messages from one place to another:
