Joao Arnaldo Vembane

About Me:
Human being - born in the world, specifically in African and Mozambique. No borders for me, everywhere in the world is my country. However huge love with Africa - the history of colonization, values imposition and robbery of resources is my biggest wound in the heart.

Student of political Sciences, philosophy and Economics, with interest to learn Psycho - Neuron - Immunology. I love to debate religion - not passions but concrete scripts. I'm Muslim and follow Islam as much as I can.

I'm married to a wonderful woman, who care allot about me - I even think I'm doing less to her.

Working with Handicap International - my professional career was built under lots of challenges, of course with Allah's will. Experience and knowledge sharing is my favorite way of living.
My dream:
A world where human rights, in the real sense are respected. Where no one is imposing how should people live, but share your own choice and respect others, recognizing that it is they right to chose.
I'm proud of:
My skills of understanding and being able to transmit, in most of the cases, what I think and understand. I never transmit if I don't understand - meaning agree and capable to relate to something in my daily life. I'm proud of find too many people agreeing almost with me - this means I'm not joining people only physically, but in mind and soul.

You will never get from reality if not your own representation (DEMO, 2008)

Why this blog today?

This morning, at office, a colleague of mine came to me to discuss on how we value communities land in face of mining project development that are compulsorily removing them from their original place to other resettlement places, while compensating them as for established in the Mozambique law. The Resettlement Regulation (Decree 32/2012) states more or less that when communities are resettled due to development of economic projects, including mining, they must be…

The Cure for AIDS is Close to be Found but, Never for SALT

Posted on December 12, 2012 at 12:54pm 3 Comments

One may either call it HIV, AIDS both or whatsoever as the degree of knowledge differs, for us the distinction does not matter. The undeniable fact is that it is there within us and continuously spreading. AIDS remains one of the world’s most serious health challenges(UNAIDS, 2012: 8), for as UNIADS (2012) in the “Report on the Global AIDS epidemic | 2012” indicates that 1,700,000 people died of AIDS only in 2011, about 2,500,000 were newly infected and 34,000,000 are…

the Great of the Greatest from Karnataka International SALT Visit

Posted on April 23, 2012 at 6:12pm 1 Comment

The Karnataka Interantional SALT Visit of October 2011 awakened us on the need to gather with partners. The simple way it was organised, with support of the Constellation Community, made it possible to materialise our dream of doing similar in Mozambique. I would call that process a lesson took home. Indeed, through what we've seen in Karnataka we came motivated and dedicated to organise a similar process. We consulted technical support from Constellation members, some of whom joined us in… Continue

Becoming a Disabled Woman is a big Issue in Our Families

Graça[1], a 32 years old woman, from the township of Chimoio in Manica Province of Mozambique, a mother of two kids Paulo and Anita[2] of 10 and 5 years old respectively, was divorced with a breastfeeding child (Anita) when she was one year old, for almost four years. Graça divorce resulted in sequence of events that started in a car accident, when she was hit by a car selling roasted peanuts to increase the income of her family, before Anita came. As… Continue

Hey guys,

You can access some of my thoughts through: http://entreosdireitoseomarketing.blogspot.com/

You will find different articles of different issues (always related to politics, philosophy and economy) - some in Portuguese and others in (my funny) English. Some of these articles are published with Jornal Zambeze (page10).

This is the way I found to improve my own… Continue

Ola Joao!
