Community Life Competence inspires H2CGhana!

Hans and I have given birth to H2CGhana! A newborn “educational project” that tries to stand out among tons of others.

We will be going to Ghana in February (the 14th) and we will spend from 2 to 6 months learning about the country's ways of living, making contact with organizations in Ghana, finding sponsors, etc.  After this period we will start with our program that will take around 6 months.

The idea is to have a group of 10 young men and women who have a "sincere" interest in improving society (like us!). We want to follow a living path where what we do is "fair" and "valued" and we believe that our first step is this project.

We want to facilitate the process (of the group) of coming up with "their" ways of improving "their" community.

We offer a program with 3 types of courses (science, social and entrepreneurial) as an optional path to follow to create a clear working strategies to work on ideas to improve a community. A lot of what we want to do still can’t be specified as we do not know what things will happen when we arrive.

What we know is that we plan to be in Ghana for at least 1 year. We have made contacts and defined as far as we could what we want to do and how we want to do it. But the BIG step is now to arrive there and see how it develops.

Please send us an email  to h2cghana@gmail.com and tell us your thoughts, questions and advice.

Visit our webpage and read more about it http://h2cghana.wix.com/h2cghana or join us on FB https://www.facebook.com/h2cghana

We have also started a crowdfunding campaign. If you wish to help us start, register and donate in the following webpage!

We are very happy to share our project here as we fill a big connection to all the people in this community who share the same view!

As I always say the community life competence has put into words what I had in my head for some time. It is part of my daily life, but it will also be reflected in our work in Ghana.

It has been a bit of a struggle sometimes to explain that we are not 2 people interested in “implementing” a project in some “developing country”. We are 2 people interested in sharing and learning from youth like us and excited to see what grows out of this program we are proposing to follow.

We want to facilitate the process we ourselves are experiencing now, which is the ¡construction of our futures! We have done this process in 2, but… it would have been  amazing to do it in community (with young people searching for the same as us). This is why we want to do that in Ghana, but we could actually do it in any country.

We could even do it in our own hometowns, but right now we also need the excitement of the unknown ;)

Going back to the point ¡community life competence is all over this project! Meeting the community life competence community has made us (the H2CGhana team) quite strong and sure of what we want as...¡now we know people who think like us are everywhere in the world! It is an amazing feeling.
