To have JL with us at Manonjaya sub district at West Java Indonesia is one of wonderfull learning for me.
We did self assessment. We were all up set since it was very difficult to see whether community we talked about know and care about adolescent reproductive health (ARH). We reviewed our plan of actions. We did all but how could we assess our progress....SILENT, and I discussed with JL and other visiting facilitators.
OALAA...no need to asses others. No need to see whether…

Today, 7 December 2009, is a grey and rainy day in my part of the world. And the day risks to go by without further mentioning. But it is not that we have no reason to celebrate. Exactly 5 years ago on a day that was exactly as grey as today, eleven people came together in a dark meeting room just outside Geneva. They lightened up that day with a vision of a Constellation of connected stars supporting each other in becoming AIDS Competent. They made that vision concrete with the foundation of…

Dear friends,
This weekend I participated in an acroyoga workshop on the theme 'Building our community'. Besides hanging upside down and doing crazy things together, we reflected on the meaning of community.
I wanted to share this with you because the definitions people gave touched me.
"Community is...
... people that you share a space and time with in acceptance and support.
... all the layers coming…

I came across
this story today. I found it fascinating to listen to. For me it emphasises the importance of us collecting more than one experience for each Principle for Action that we are collecting as Knowledge Assets about the response to HIV and AIDS. We are quick to make assumptions from a single experience. It is better if we get other perspectives from different settings…

During the first evening of Indonesia Knowledge Fair we all went to SALT visit in small groups. This was not organized as we decided to practice the SALT with the people we would meet. We are now clear in our minds that SALT is not a visit but a way of life
SALT is appreciating our lives:
“I found a new way to know my child” - Exkuwin, Jakarta
“For the first time I asked my baby sitter about her life” - Wiwin,…

Chers amis
Bonne lecture!
