What is a local response and how can I help?
Local teams respond to their current challenges and work towards longer-term dreams by encouraging local ownership of issues and solutions. This is what we mean by a local response.
Some teams have more pressing needs than others at any given time, and would benefit greatly from your support now.
In Sankuru, together against monkeypox
In Sankuru,…

I have been enjoying many conversations lately with friends in the Constellation around how we as CLCP facilitators apply ‘naturally’ SALT as a way of working in our own lives as well. Sometimes we say jokingly ‘don’t try this at home’ when it comes to Support, Appreciate, Learn and Transfer in the private circle.
Is SALT in our own family sometimes difficult because we fall into an old trap: we think it is up to us to be the expert?
A small remark from my…

The dream machine that produces happiness
“Are the children in the Village de Tamarinier poor?” asks my ten year old daughter Chiara when I call her after a day of visiting this Mauritian village. I hesitate. Yes, at the first sight…

“We are most proud of our perseverance”, the joy is on the faces of all Amitoyens and contagiously clears up all in the room. A group of participants in a SALT weekend in the east of France is absorbing their story with eagerness. Ears wide open.
They’d better be proud!
The dream that started in them as individuals and in their families years ago is a big step further to reality today – thanks to their perseverance!
'Amitoyens’ dream is to live in co-housing with a…

The result of a six day CLCP learning event in Ambon Indonesia is overwhelming. We count thirty confident facilitators, two potential coaches who can support the new facilitators, and a local partner organisation that is turning into a SALTy organisation. Three action plans are ready for implementation and three communities in a village developed their dreams and exchanged among the teams about possibilities and non possibilities for further…

Digesting all my learning from a week in Samara, a beautiful Russian city at the Wolga, it appears to me, now clearer then ever, that SALT is a natural process. It reminds us to be ‘normal’, to be the human beings we are in all our interactions.
Natasya, in her wheelchair during our last (in a series of 6) SALT visits that week says it beautifully:
“These meetings with your team once again proved that it is not important how we look, what language we speak, what confession we are…
