POWER OF APPRECIATION

I was so glad that a platform was created at our working place, for us to come together, bi-weekly, to share our way of thinking and working, in line with the PRINCIPLES of SALT.

Those who were able to make it came together in fellowship of the BEYOND COMMUNITY, sharing experiences and supporting one another.

Last session, we came together to share on the POWER of APPRECIATION. We shared on how we have appreciated others and what impact it has, and how others have…

It's not about the tools... it's about the mindset, she said.

Yesterday I met with Sirinate, a constellation member with a long history of applying ACP and CLCP in many different contexts. We met in the beautiful city of Bandung, where we were joined by Wiwin. Our meeting was to discuss the facilitation of some upcoming events for a partnership the Constellation has entered into with World Fish Centre, around livelihoods and aquatic ecosystems. But, for me, the meeting was much more than…

The Power of a SALT Visit: SALT connects neighbour to neighbour

Health Nest Uganda entered into partnership with The Constellation in December 2011 to introduce the Community Life Competence Process (CLCP) to Uganda.  It was agreed that two workshops be held in January 2012 and April 2012 respectively.  As part of the workshop in January, participants paid a SALT visit to the community of Katabi.

Arriving in the community, we parked our vehicle near the home of an older person whom we did not specifically plan to visit and moved out into…

the Great of the Greatest from Karnataka International SALT Visit

The Karnataka Interantional SALT Visit of October 2011 awakened us on the need to gather with partners. The simple way it was organised, with support of the Constellation Community, made it possible to materialise our dream of doing similar in Mozambique. I would call that process a lesson took home. Indeed, through what we've seen in Karnataka we came motivated and dedicated to organise a similar process. We consulted technical support from Constellation members, some of whom joined us in… Continue

"Your Religion says you must reduce other's vulnerabilities!"

Maybe you can use this to advocate your project to an influential person who only believes in a religion but is not interested in working to reduce the vulnerability of a young person to HIV. It worked for us.

State: One man's weakness is another's strength

Give examples like: My weakness is Hindi, ... while your strength is Hindi,(use examples appropriate to your context)

But, After a year of using case management approach, which is mostly one to one as individual, or to one family and getting of impression of how secularized the people here,…
