Maybe you can use this to advocate your project to an influential person who only believes in a religion but is not interested in working to reduce the vulnerability of a young person to HIV. It worked for us.
State: One man's weakness is another's strength
Give examples like: My weakness is Hindi, ... while your strength is Hindi,(use examples appropriate to your context)
State: One man's vulnerability is another man's asset
Give examples: Wealth is Sapna's vulnerability; which is our asset
State: Now, 1)a) if I increase Sapna's vulnerability, am I doing a good act or a bad act?
AND/OR
1) b) If I decrease Sapna's assets, am I doing a good act or a bad act?
Give examples for 1)a) and 1)b)
State: 2)a) if I reduce or decrease Sapna's vulnerability, am I doing a good act or a bad act?
AND/OR
2) b) If I increase Sapna's assets, am I doing a good act or a bad act?
Give examples for 2)a) and 2)b)
All will answer "bad act" for 1 and "good act" for 2.
Then ask: What does your religion say: Do good? or Do Bad?
