Reflection on the Transformation of “Cholo Egiye Jai” – Youth Power for a Safer Pechakola

Understanding the ChallengeThe Pechakola community in Bera, Pabna, regularly faces challenges during the monsoon season, including heavy rainfall, inundation, and waterlogging. These issues make roads muddy and unsafe, leading to lower school attendance and increased risks for children traveling to school. Traditionally, the community tolerated these seasonal difficulties without organized solutions. However, through the introduction of the SALT (Support, Appreciate, Listen, Transfer) approach,…See More

About Me:
I am a postgraduate in Environmental Science and Disaster Management, currently working as a Documentation Officer at Bangladesh Rural Economic Development (BRED). With a strong academic foundation and a growing professional presence in the development sector, I am deeply committed to working with rural communities to promote resilience and sustainable growth.
With a strong commitment to social justice, environmental resilience, and rural empowerment, I focus on impactful documentation, project coordination, and inclusive collaboration. My work bridges the social and environmental dimensions of development—ensuring that communities are not only supported but also equipped to thrive in the face of socio-economic and climate-related challenges.

I strive to leverage my interdisciplinary education and field experience to drive meaningful social change, advocate for vulnerable groups, and build a more just, equitable, and sustainable society.
My dream:
My vision is to drive meaningful, long-term change by elevating the voices of marginalized communities and ensuring their experiences shape the future of development. I aspire to work in true partnership with these communities to build an inclusive society—one where everyone has equal access to opportunities, resources, and the right to self-determination. I believe in a future where dignity, fairness, and belonging are guaranteed for all, and no one is overlooked or left behind.
I'm proud of:
My dream is to contribute to a sustainable and resilient future by working closely with rural communities—supporting them to overcome environmental challenges and build stronger, safer lives. I aspire to amplify the voices of those most vulnerable to climate and disaster-related risks, ensuring their needs and knowledge are at the center of development efforts. Through community engagement, environmental advocacy, and inclusive action, I envision a world where every person—regardless of where they live—has the opportunity to thrive in harmony with nature and with dignity.

Joba Group: The Silent Caregivers of Our Community

Posted on August 3, 2025 at 8:41am 2 Comments

Joba Group is not just a team of volunteers; they are the soul of our neighborhood. Their mission goes far beyond community development—they bring care, dignity, and humanity into the lives of people who are often…

From Corporate Walls to Open Hearts: My Journey with BRED

Posted on July 7, 2025 at 12:57pm 6 Comments

There was a time when my life revolved around a computer screen, daily reports, and the quiet click of keyboards in a corporate office. Everything ran like clockwork — strict schedules, long meetings, tight deadlines. It was professional, disciplined, and efficient. But deep within me, something was missing.

I often questioned myself — is this the kind of work I truly want to do for the rest of my life? I wanted connection, not just communication. I wanted to feel my work, not just…
