Echoes of Alokito Kori: A Knowledge Fair I Still Carry Within Me

তাঁর সহযোগিতায়…See More

My One-Year SALT Journey: Rediscovering People, Change, and My Inner Strength

My journey with BRED started on May 15, 2025. Along with that, my path with SALT and CLCP also began. The early days of this journey were quite confusing for me. Before this, I worked in a corporate environment—where time was fixed, tasks were assigned, and everything followed a structured system. But I have always had a slightly restless and adventurous nature. Deep…See More

About Me:
I am a postgraduate in Environmental Science and Disaster Management, currently working as a Documentation Officer at Bangladesh Rural Economic Development (BRED). With a strong academic foundation and a growing professional presence in the development sector, I am deeply committed to working with rural communities to promote resilience and sustainable growth.
With a strong commitment to social justice, environmental resilience, and rural empowerment, I focus on impactful documentation, project coordination, and inclusive collaboration. My work bridges the social and environmental dimensions of development—ensuring that communities are not only supported but also equipped to thrive in the face of socio-economic and climate-related challenges.

I strive to leverage my interdisciplinary education and field experience to drive meaningful social change, advocate for vulnerable groups, and build a more just, equitable, and sustainable society.
My dream:
My vision is to drive meaningful, long-term change by elevating the voices of marginalized communities and ensuring their experiences shape the future of development. I aspire to work in true partnership with these communities to build an inclusive society—one where everyone has equal access to opportunities, resources, and the right to self-determination. I believe in a future where dignity, fairness, and belonging are guaranteed for all, and no one is overlooked or left behind.
I'm proud of:
My dream is to contribute to a sustainable and resilient future by working closely with rural communities—supporting them to overcome environmental challenges and build stronger, safer lives. I aspire to amplify the voices of those most vulnerable to climate and disaster-related risks, ensuring their needs and knowledge are at the center of development efforts. Through community engagement, environmental advocacy, and inclusive action, I envision a world where every person—regardless of where they live—has the opportunity to thrive in harmony with nature and with dignity.

Beyond Expectations: A Community-Led Knowledge Fair Experience

Posted on April 16, 2026 at 12:43pm 4 Comments

We shared with the Pechakola community that we were going to start working in Char Nakalia, where we would initiate activities using the SALT approach. We told them that we would go to the char together with them. There, they would share their small and large collective initiatives, their successes, and how they overcame challenges. Our initial idea…
