Jhuma Didi's Skills and Sumi Apa's Dream: Teaching Tailoring in the Pechakola Community
The story of the Pechakola community is a unique example of change. The main characters in this story are Sumi Apa and Jhuma Didi. Sumi Apa had long dreamed of learning tailoring herself and then spreading the skill within the community to empower others. She envisioned taking initiatives that would strengthen their economic and social position. To make this dream a reality, she used the SALT approach.
