About Me:
I am working in a social organization called Avani Sanstha. I love working for child rights.
My dream:
1. Overcoming Shortcomings

Personal Growth: The idea is for individuals to move past their perceived limitations or obstacles. This involves focusing on their strengths rather than dwelling on weaknesses.
Empowerment: By letting go of self-doubt and negative perceptions, people can tap into their true potential.

2. Recognizing and Utilizing Strengths
Self-Awareness: Encouraging people to understand and acknowledge their unique abilities and talents.
Effective Application: Using these strengths effectively to drive personal and community growth.

3. Leadership and Problem-Solving
Becoming Leaders: Inspiring individuals to take on leadership roles, where they can guide and influence positive change.
Community Impact: Addressing and solving local problems through innovative ideas and collective action.

4. Potential of Youth at the Village Level
Energy and Innovation: Young people in villages often have fresh perspectives and energy that can lead to new initiatives and improvements.
Encouragement and Support: Providing motivation and resources to these young individuals to harness their potential and drive change.

5. Encouragement and Support
Building Confidence: Providing support and encouragement to help individuals believe in their capabilities.
Creating Opportunities: Offering resources and platforms for young people to express their ideas and make a difference.
I'm proud of:
I am proud that through the Avani organization, I am encouraging people at the village level to recognize their own strengths and how to use them. When people come together using their own strengths to solve their personal and community problems or make efforts towards that, it fills me with great pride.

The Power of Listening and My Growth

Posted on February 27, 2025 at 7:40am 3 Comments

GFC launched a new ARC project, under which we selected a few villages and planned to conduct qualitative interviews and focus group discussions (FGDs) with specific individuals. My responsibility was to take notes.

In the beginning, I regularly took notes. However, after the third or fourth interview, I noticed a positive change in myself. I was not just listening; I was deeply understanding the emotions expressed by the person in…

From Dreams to Actions: Children Leading Change in Vashi Village

Posted on December 30, 2024 at 8:42am 3 Comments

A few months ago, SALT-related work had started in Vashi village. After discussions with Ritu Nanda, a decision was made to halt the SALT activities there. However, today, when Shahrukh and Jayashree visited with the children, we discussed their plans for future work. The children came together for a group discussion and drafted a plan for activities to be implemented in January 2025, based on the dreams they envision for Vashi village. They specifically brainstormed ideas on how various…

A Bond of Love: One Heart, One Soul

In Kolkata, six different organizations were invited to come together for a Cohort meeting. Arrangements for everyone’s stay were made in a natural, beautiful, and captivating place, which filled everyone with joy. I was very eager to meet everyone and learn about the strengths they brought. Human emotions are important, but people often don’t wait for others to express their feelings, as no one understands their inner emotions. In this meeting, everyone openly and trustingly shared their…

Empathy in Action : Lessons from a SALT Session with Nandwal's Youth

Posted on August 31, 2024 at 5:56pm 0 Comments

I met some children from Nandwal village today. They were in the ninth grade. I was supposed to conduct a SALT activity with them. Initially, I introduced myself to them. The children were not significantly younger than me. To ensure there were no difficulties in our discussion, I told them not to address me as "Sir" but to call me "Dada" instead. They agreed to this with a smile.

I asked both of them to recall good things in their…
