Changes that have come about in me after making salt: At first, I was afraid to talk to people, wondering if the villagers would respond to my words. By joining this work, I have understood how to talk to the villagers. By making salt, I have understood that I too have strength, courage, confidence, the power to do something. I was talking to a nice lady in Govindapala village. While talking to her, she shared a story. When her baby was five months old, her uncle was poisoned. No one in the village would take her to the hospital. She left her five-month-old baby in the house next door. The husband and wife took her uncle to the hospital. They took care of him all day long.
This conversation took place during SALT.
Conclusion: This lady reminds us that in every community there are people like this…
