Village transformation through community women's groups

One day we discussed group SALT with the women of the Santal community of Kendoh village. A total of 12 women from the village were present in this discussion meeting. After doing SALT, they understood each other's strength, they understood that if we unite, we can solve any problem in the village. Then one day we discussed dreams with the women of the village. The women of the village beautifully showed their dreams through Santali songs.

There is a Shishu Shiksha Kendra (SSK) school in Kendoh village, most of the boys and girls in the village study in that school. The women of the village have noticed for a long time that the school teacher is not coming on time. Who is not teaching the children properly. The children are going to school but leaving their bags in the classroom and going out to play, some women of the village went to the school one day and asked Didi Mani why they are not coming on time.

After a few days, we see Didi Mani coming to school on time and now teaching the boys and girls properly. She is paying more attention to the boys and girls who are a little less inattentive in their studies. Now no child is going out to play outside. Boys and girls are going to school in a clean and neat manner.

This change was very necessary because:- The parents of Kendah village cannot give their children proper time for work, as a result the children roam around as they please, if attention is not paid to the children's studies from now on, what will they do in the future, so this change was very necessary.
