Building Dreams Together- GYRF

Last month, my team and I held a dream-building session at our office, where we envisioned what the Grow Your Reader Foundation could become by 2040.I’ve been part of sessions like this before, but this one surpassed all my expectations. The depth of the discussions made me see, in a way I hadn’t before, just how meaningful our work truly is. I was moved by how each person in the team spoke about Grow Your Reader Foundation with such heart, showing me that this isn’t just work to us—it’s a…See More

Little by little, a little becomes a lot.

Our GYRF facilitators in Gopalganj recently shared a report about a few small community-driven actions taken by the people of Byaspur. What truly moved me when reading the report was how the mothers in the neighborhood united- sharing ideas and swiftly taking action to address problems within their community. They didn't just talk; they acted. Hearing that these ideas were not only discussed but also implemented filled me with admiration. I read how they are making an effort to be more present…See More

Byaspur: Uniting for Change

Posted on April 5, 2024 at 8:28am 3 Comments

As I delved into documenting the lives of the people in Byaspur, a village in Gopalganj, Bangladesh, I found myself struck by a common thread running through their narratives. Each person talked about similar challenges they observed within their community. Yet, what struck me the most was the overwhelming sense of isolation they experienced, as if they were shouldering these burdens alone.
