From Hijlipara to Uttarpara :The Journey of a Grandparents Story Telling Session.

কেমন লাগে যখন একটা কাজ এক কমিউনিটি থেকে আরেকটা কমিউনিটিতে ছড়িয়ে পড়ে? এক কমিউনিটির কাজ আরেক কমিউনিটিকে অনুপ্রেরণা জোগায়? ঠিক তেমন একটি কাজ ছড়িয়ে পড়ার গল্প আজ শেয়ার করবো আপনাদের সাথে।

আপনারা জানেন আমাদের হিজলিপাড়ার দাদ-দাদিরা অনেক আগে থেকেই গল্পের আসর শুরু করেছিল। ৯ ঘর থেকে বেড়ে এই গল্পের আসরে যোগ দেয় ২২ ঘর, মোট ৫৯ জন।

আমাদের উত্তরপাড়ার দাদা-দাদী, মায়েরাও হিজলীপাড়ার এই গল্পের আসরের কথা অনেক শুনেছিল। তারা চাচ্ছিলেন নিজেদের পাড়াতেই এই গল্পের আসর শুরু করতে। করবো করবো করেও কেন যেন করা হয়ে উঠছিল না। কিন্তু অবশেষে হিজলিপাড়ার গল্পের আসরের অনুপ্রেরণা উত্তরপাড়ার মধ্যে স্থানান্তরিত হয়েছে ছোট্ট নবান্ন পিঠা উৎসব পালনের মাধ্যমে।শাহানারা আপাদের উদ্যোগে হিজলিপাড়া থেকে দাদীদের আগমন ও ছোঁয়ার টিমের দাদীকে একসাথে করার মাধ্যমে এই স্বপ্ন বাস্তবায়ন করা সম্ভব হয়েছে।

প্রথম জ্ঞানের মেলা থেকে অনুপ্রাণিত হয়ে, দীর্ঘদিন ধৈর্যের সঙ্গে ফেসিলিটেশন করা এবং দ্বিতীয় জ্ঞানের মেলার পর অবশেষে উত্তরপাড়ায় গল্পের আসর শুরু হয়। শাহানারা কাকী গত শনিবারে ২ তারিখে তার বাড়িতে ১ম গল্পের আসর করেন। ১ম আসরে কাকী শেয়ার করেন মুক্তিযুদ্ধের গল্প। আসরে প্রথমদিন অংশ গ্রহন করেন ১৩ জন।

প্রতিমাসের ১ম শনিবার ১ দিন শাহানারা কাকি ছোঁয়ার টিম ও শাহানারা আপার টিমের বাচ্চা ও মায়েদের নিয়ে এই গল্পের আসর করবেন বলে জানিয়েছেন।

How does it feel when a piece of work spreads from one community to another? When the efforts of one community inspire another? Today, I would like to share with you such a story of how an idea spread.
You all know that the grandparents of Hijlipara started the Story Circle long ago. From just 9 households, it grew to 22 households, with a total of 59 participants.
The grandparents and mothers of Uttarpara had heard a lot about this Story Circle of Hijlipara. They wanted to start a similar Story Circle in their own neighborhood. Although they wished to do so for a long time, somehow it did not happen. But finally, the inspiration from Hijlipara’s Story Circle reached Uttarpara through a small Nabanna Pitha Festival. With the initiative of Shahānara Apa, and by bringing together the grandmothers from Hijlipara and the grandmothers of the Chhoa Team, this dream became a reality.
Inspired by the first Knowledge Fair, after a long period of patient facilitation, and following the second Knowledge Fair, the Story Circle finally began in Uttarpara. Last Saturday, on the 2nd, Shahānara Kaki hosted the first Story Circle at her home. In the first session, Kaki shared stories from the Liberation War. Thirteen people participated in this first gathering.
