I had a conversation with Sumanta Soren, a Santal community member from Govindapala village, through Salt. He shared a beautiful story with me – one day he went to Burdwan for a special work. After finishing his work, when he was returning home by train, he saw a beggar asking for alms from everyone and no one was giving him anything, seeing him made him very sad.
