My ARC South Asia convening 2025 Experience.

জ্ঞানের মেলা শেষে, বাংলাদেশের ঢাকায় অনুষ্ঠিত আর্ক সাউথ এশিয়া কনভেইনিং এ গ্রো ইয়োর রিডারের ফ্যাসিলিটেটর হিসেবে অংশগ্রহণ করে আমি অনেকের সাথে ব্যক্তিগতভাবে পরিচিত হওয়ার সুযোগ পেয়েছি। জ্ঞানের মেলার ব্যস্ততার কারনে সামান্য হাই হ্যালো ব্যতীত আমি কারোর সাথে সময় কাটাতে পারিনি। তবে ২০ ও ২১ তারিখে সকলের সাথে আমার আলাপ হয়েছিল। GFC টিমের আন্তরিকতা ও ভালোবাসা আমাকে শেখার এক নতুন অভিজ্ঞতা তৈরি করে দিয়েছে।  দেশের বাইরথেকে এবং ভেতর থেকে অতিথিরা আমাদের কমিউনিটিতে আসবে এটা ছিল আমার কাছে কৌতুহল এবং তাদের সাথেই আমার দুটি দিন অতিবাহিত করা এটা ছিল আমার জীবনের এক অনন্য অভিজ্ঞতা। পুরো সময়টাতে আমি শিখছিলাম বিভিন্ন কমিউনিটির মানুষের কার্যাবলীগুলো তারা কিভাবে কাজ করছে। তাদের থেকে কোন শিক্ষাটা আমি আমার কমিউনিটির জন্য এবং আমার সহকর্মী প্রকাশ ভাইকে গিয়ে শেখাতে পারি সেতাও আমার মাথায় ছিলো। বিশেষ ভাবে আমি Rodri এর Healthy Masculinity নিয়ে আলোচনাটা খুব মনোযোগ সহকারে শুনছিলাম এবং মোবাইলে ছবি সংগ্রহ করেছিলাম প্রকাশ ভাইকে বিষয়টি বোঝানোর জন্য কেননা প্রকাশ ভাই ও ম্যাসকুলিটি নিয়ে কাজ করছে আমাদের কমিউনিটিতে।   ফারহান শেখ ভাইয়ের পথ শিশুদের নিয়ে যে কথাগুলো উপস্থাপন করেছে সেগুলো আমাকে অনেক ভাবতে শিখিয়েছে। বাপ্পাদার ফেসিলিটেশন ছিল খুবই চমকপ্রদ। প্রকাশ ভাই ও আমি যদি দুজন আরও সুন্দর ফেসিলিটেশন করতে পারি তাহলে আমাদের কমিউনিটিতে আরও অনেক পরিবর্তন আসবে। সল্ট প্রজেক্ট এ নিজের কাজকে পেশা হিসেবে নয় নেশা হিসেবে কাজে লাগাতে পারলে তবেই সেটা sustainable হবে। এরূপ মন মানসিকতা আমি অন্য কোহর্টে লক্ষ্য করেছি। যত বেশি বিনয়ী নম্র হয়ে SALT ফ্যাসিলিটেশন করা যাবে তত বেশি মানুষের মনের পরিবর্তন ঘটবে এবং সেই পরিবর্তন নিয়ে কমিউনিটিরও পরিবর্তন আসবে। কমিউনিটির মানুষ মুখ ফিরিয়ে নিতেই পারে তবে আমাদেরকে বারবার তাদের দ্বারস্থ হতে হবে এবং তাদেরকে বোঝাতে হবে ভাবাতে হবে। নিজের থেকে দায়িত্বশীলতা শিখতে ও বুঝতে হবে। আমাকে কেউ কোন কিছু বলবে তবে আমি সেটা করব এমনটা নয় আমার নিজেকেই এগিয়ে আসতে হবে। অনুরাধা জির কাছ থেকে আমি এটা শিখেছি। তাই আমার মনে হয়েছে এটা আমি প্রকাশ ভাই কে ও শেখাতে পারি।  নিজের সৃজনশীলতা কখনো সুপ্ত ভাবে না রেখে তা সকলের মাঝে ছড়িয়ে দেওয়ার নামই সফলতা যেটা আমি এই প্রোগ্রামে অংশগ্রহণ করে শিখেছি। সময় সম্পর্কে সচেতনতা প্রতিটি মানুষের জীবনে অত্যন্ত গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা পালন করে যেটা আমি এই প্রোগ্রামে অংশগ্রহণ করে খুব ভালোভাবে শিখেছি। কখন আমাদের কি করতে হবে মেসেজে তা জানিয়ে দেওয়া হতো। আমরা সকলে সেটা অনুসরণ করায় সব কাজ সুষ্ঠুভাবে শেষ করতে পেরেছি। তাই সময় সচেতনতা বিষয়টি নিয়ে আমি প্রকাশ ভাইয়ের সাথে আলোচনা করতে পারি। এতে করে আমরা সুষ্ঠভাবে সঠিক সময় সঠিক কাজটি করতে পারব।
সবচেয়ে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ যে বিষয়টা আমার মনোযোগের কেন্দ্রে এখন তা হলো, স্বমূল্যায়ন। এখন আমাদের কমিউনিটিতে বেশি বেশি স্বমূল্যায়ন করে তাদের স্বপ্নের জন্য তাদের মনোযোগী করে তুলতে হবে।
বিশ্বায়নের যুগে নিজেকে আরো দক্ষ ভাবে গড়ে তুলতে ইংরেজি শেখার বিকল্প নেই। তাই নিজেদেরকে মানিয়ে নিতে আমরা ইংরেজি শিক্ষার প্রতি বিশেষ গুরুত্বারোপ করবো। কমিউনিটির যেকোনো পরিস্থিতি আমরা দুজনে মিলেই মোকাবিলা করার চেষ্টা করা।

Throughout  the event I was learning -observing how people from different communities work and thinking about hot lessons I could bring back to my own community and share with my colleague Prakash bhai. 

I specially paid close attention to Rodri's session  on Healthy Masculinity.  I even took photos on my phone to explain the concept better to Prakash bhai, as he is also working on masculinity issues in our community. Farhan Shaikh bhai presentation on Street children really made me reflected deeply. Bappada's facilitation was truly impressive. I believe that if Prakash Bhai and I can improve our facilitation skills further we will be able to bring about even more positive chenge in our community. 

In the SALT project, I have learnt that threating this work not just as a profession, but as a passion, is what truly makes it sustainable. I noticed this mindset among the other Cohort members. The  more humbly and respectfully we facilitate through  SALT, the more hearts we can touch and that's how community transformation begins. community members may initially turn away but we must keep returning, helping them think and reflect. we need to take ownership and responsibility, not wait for someone else to tell us what to do and I learned to this valuable lesson from Anuradha ji. 

I believe it's something I can also pass on to Prakash bhai. True success lines is not keeping your creativity hiddan, but in spreading it to other's  something this program helped me realise. I also learnt how vital time awareness is in life. we were informed of our schedule through messages and by following those we were able to complete all tasks efficiently. I want to discuss this with Prakash bhai as well so that we can carry out the right task at the right time in an organised way. one of the most important things I have come to focus on now is self assessment. we need to contact more self assessment in our community to help people stay focused on their dreams. In this era of globalisation there's no alternative to learning English to develop ourselves further.so we will give a special attention to learning English to adopt to changing Times. whatever challenges arise in the community, Prakash bhai and I will do  our best to face them together.
