From AIDS to Life

The Constellation is happy to announce that we are transitioning from AIDS Competence to Community Life Competence.

Aids is part of life. Here is how Marijo Vasquez from Barcelona in Spain sees the issue. "When you explore a single issue very deeply, you realize it is only one expression of life. That single issue is about life, human relationships, feelings and how you are as a person."

The Constellation facilitates a natural process, in which the strengths of people are central. This is true whether applied to HIV, malaria, diabetes or reconciliation.

And so we have come to understand that we need to build a bridge that links AIDS Competence with Community Life Competence.

La Constellation est heureuse d’annoncer la transition de la Compétence face au sida à la Compétence Communautaire pour la vie.

Le sida est une source de souffrance. Pourtant notre expérience montre que quand des communautés ont répondu de manière efficace à un enjeu spécifique de la vie, les gens peuvent également faire face à d'autres enjeux. "Le problème du VIH nous a forcé à nous organiser. Dorénavant nous avons confiance en notre capacité à gérer tout autre défi dans le futur," explique Khun Sumalee de Ban Pang Lao en Thaïlande.

Le sida fait parti de la vie. Voici ce que Marijo Vasquez de Barcelone en Espagne dit: "Quand vous explorez un seul enjeu vraiment en profondeur, vous réalisez que cet enjeu n'est qu'une expression de la vie. Cet enjeu est lié à la vie, les relations humaines, les sentiments et comment vous êtes en tant que personne."

La Constellation facilite un processus naturel qui met les forces des gens au centre, qu'il soit appliqué au VIH, la malaria, le diabète ou la réconciliation.

Et donc nous comprenons aujourd'hui que nous devons établir un lien entre la Compétence face au sida et la Compétence Communautaire pour la vie.

Noted with interest in these development and concept.
It is good to learn from ACP experiences and move forward to wider issues and concerns in the communities in which AIDS era is one of the world wide issues popping out as a result of lack of a complete and comprehensive development affecting the vulnerable communities in the developing world.

I'm very happy to learn that we are finaly moving to the real name of our home. Thi was, in fact my very first claim when I registered to the group.

I never saw the constellation only for AIDS issues and thus never agreed with the name. That is why I always tried to push (on my blogs) to that AIDS is not the central issue. Very few or in any moment I mension IADS there.

For instance, it makes sence that we should start from somewere and AIDS was the point.

I am happy that there is always a new adaptation to the reality of life in the The Constillation. I welcome the changed. In the olden days, I have the community-Based services to persons living with AIDS... HOWEVER, i CHANGE THE NAME AND THE APPROACH TO pro-life initiative for better quality of life..etc. it is more positive and more compassing.

WHAT A FANTASTIC TRANSITION TO COMMUNTY LIFE COMPETENCE!! HOW VERY WONDERFUL. IT HAPPENS TO BE VERY CLOSE TO THE EMPOWERING PROCESSES IN WHICH MY HUSBAND AND I HAVE BEEN INVOLVED WITH YOUTH 10 YEARS AND ABOVE (VEN THOUGH WE DO GET SOME YOUNGER THAN 10 YEAR) SINCE 1995.

THIS TRANSITION IS A WONDERFUL EXAMBPLE OF FROM SPECIFIC TO GENERAL! WELL DONE.
