ARC South Asia Convening 2025 at Dhaka Join My Reflection Four Days

১৭ এপ্রিল ২০২৫, প্রোগ্রামের প্রথম দিন। মনে অনেক প্রশ্ন ছিল—কেমন হবে অংশগ্রহণকারীরা, পরিবেশটা কেমন হবে? কিন্তু প্রথম দিনের রাতের ডিনারেই মনে হলো, আমরা যেন সবাই একই পরিবারের সদস্য। আমেরিকা, মেক্সিকো, ইন্দোনেশিয়া, থাইল্যান্ড, নেপাল আর ইন্ডিয়ার মানুষদের সঙ্গে এত সহজে মিশে যাওয়া এক অসাধারণ অনুভব ছিল। এছাড়া পরবর্তী দিনের কার্যক্রমের জন্য রাতে সবাই মিলে দেয়ালিকা প্রস্তুত করার কাজটি শেখার জায়গা ছিল। একসাথে কাজ করার সময় মনে হচ্ছিল যেন আমরা সবাই একটি টিম।

এই চার দিনে অনেক কিছু শিখেছি। বিভিন্ন দেশে SALT পদ্ধতিতে কীভাবে কাজ হচ্ছে, সেটি কাছ থেকে দেখার সুযোগ হয়েছে। দ্বিতীয় দিনের স্টোরি সার্কেলে অংশ নিয়ে আমি অনুভব করেছি, পরিবর্তনের গল্পের মাধ্যমে মানুষকে অনুপ্রাণিত করা যায়। ভারত ও নেপালের কাজ দেখেও অনেক কিছু শিখেছি। বিশেষ করে নেপালের মনিকা ও বাংলাদেশে তাসনিম আপা মেয়েদের ফুটবল খেলার উদ্যোগ আমাকে নতুনভাবে ভাবতে শিখিয়েছে—খেলাধুলাও মেয়েদের ক্ষমতায়নে বড় ভূমিকা রাখতে পারে।

নলেজ ফেয়ারের দিন ছিল অসাধারণ। গ্রো ইউর রিডার ফাউন্ডেশনের নিমন্ত্রণে এখানে অংশ নিয়ে বুঝেছি, ব্যাসপুর কমিনিটিতে কিভাবে সাধারণ মানুষ নিজের শক্তিকে কাজে লাগিয়ে কমিউনিটিতে ইতিবাচক পরিবর্তন আনছে। ছেলে মেয়েদের খেলাধুলার ভূমিকা, আন্তঃসাংস্কৃতিক বন্ধুত্ব, পারস্পরিক শ্রদ্ধা ও শেখার গুরুত্ব নতুনভাবে উপলব্ধি করেছি। গান, সংস্কৃতি আর পারফরম্যান্সের মধ্য দিয়ে কীভাবে মানুষ সংযুক্ত হয়, সেটিও ছিল এক সুন্দর শিক্ষা।

শেষ দিন, ২০ এপ্রিল, মনে হচ্ছিল, যেন প্রিয় কিছু হারিয়ে ফেলছি। একবারের জন্যও মনে হয়নি, তারা আমার দেশের বাইরের কেউ। সবাই এত আপন হয়ে গিয়েছিল।

GFC টিমের ভালোবাসা, আন্তরিকতা এবং শেখার পরিবেশ এক নতুন অভিজ্ঞতা দিয়েছে। কালচারাল প্রোগ্রামে সবার অংশগ্রহণ—সব মিলিয়ে সময়টা ছিল আনন্দময় ও অর্থবহ।
এই শিক্ষাগুলো আমার ব্যক্তিগত ও পেশাগত জীবনে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা রাখবে বলে আমি বিশ্বাস করি।

17 April 2025, the first day of the program. There were many questions in my mind - how will the participants be, how will the environment be? But on the first day's night dinner, it seemed as if we were all members of the same family. It was a wonderful feeling to mix with the people of America, Mexico, Indonesia, Thailand, Nepal and India so easily.
Besides, for the next day's activities, there was a place for learning to prepare wall poster setup at night. Working together it feel like we were all a team. Learned a lot in these four days. There has been an opportunity to look closely at how use the SALT approach is being done in different countries.

By participating in the story circle of the second day, I felt that people can be inspired through the story of change. I also learned a lot from the work of India and Nepal. Especially Nepal's Monika and Tasnim Apa girls' initiatives in Bangladesh have taught me to think in a new way—sports can also play a major role in empowering girls.

Knowledge fair day was amazing. At the invitation of Grow Your Reader Foundation, I have understood how common people are using their strength in the Bayspur community to make positive changes in the community. I have newly realized the role of sportsmanship, intercultural friendship, mutual respect and learning in boys and girls.
How people connect through music, culture and performance was also a beautiful lesson.

Last day, April 20, feel like I was losing something dear. I didn't think they were anyone from out of my country. Everyone was so close. The love, sincerity and learning environment of the GFC team has given a new experience.
Everyone's participation in the cultural program—all in all was a joyful and meaningful time.
I believe that these teachings will play an important role in my personal and professional life.
