Learning and Reflection from the CWSN Safeguarding Policy Review Training

Last week, our CWSN team of 10 members went to Mattikhan Mountain View Resort for a two-day program. The visit provided us with a great opportunity for both learning and refreshment in a peaceful environment. Since the resort is located at a higher altitude, we were able to enjoy a beautiful 360-degree view of Pokhara, which was one of the highlights of the trip. The main objective of our visit was to review and revise the Safeguarding Policy of CWSN. Before attending this training , I had a…See More

Two Inspiring Exposure Visits: Learning from Communities in Birgunj and Dhading

Exposure visits provide opportunities to learn directly from communities, understand local realities, and exchange experiences with organizations working for social change. In May 2026, CWSN’s ARC team participated in two meaningful exposure visits to Birgunj and Dhading. These journeys allowed us to observe community-led development, engage in SALT discussions, learn from local organizations, and strengthen our understanding of community empowerment.

A Meaningful Learning Experience through Group SALT with Elders

Posted on April 2, 2026 at 6:52am 3 Comments

During our individual SALT visits, one day while walking around, we reached a temple near our office. At the temple, we saw a group of elderly men and women sitting together and singing bhajans. Curious about them, we asked how long they had been coming there. Some said two years, while others shared that they had been coming for three years. Listening to their stories and experiences, we felt inspired and developed a strong desire to conduct a SALT session with them. After returning to the…

From Barefoot Hills to Unbreakable Will: A Childhood life in Struggle

Posted on March 1, 2026 at 12:09pm 1 Comment

Childhood means different things to different people. For some, it is school bells, playground laughter, and bedtime stories. But for my elder uncle, childhood was something else entirely it was responsibility, hunger, long journeys, and survival. I grew up in an urban setting, surrounded by opportunities, schools, and comfort. I hardly knew what life was like in the villages decades ago. When my uncle shared his story with me in his own words, I realized how different our worlds were. “We…
