About Me:
Hello :) !!!!

A true lover of Life and all sentient beings, I discovered at an early age the power of the instrument of emotions and feelings to bring out, in each and every person, the melody of our common humanity. My desire to foster solidarity and mutual understanding came even earlier, and it has been with me ever since.

Today, the human being in its great diversity remains my main focus as I have just returned from an 8-month journey across Latin America with my boyfriend Michele.

What did we do there? We met and shared with communities committed to testing different lifestyles based on principles of harmony and non-violence, we practiced permaculture and other agro-ecological means of production, etc. We also met and exchanged views with various theater groups, who use theater as a tool for social change in a variety of situations: in prisons, with street kids, with immigrants, in schools, with NGOs, etc.

We traveled to the following countries: Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Colombia, Panama, Costa Rica, and Nicaragua.
My dream:
Using theater as a way of tapping into our common humanity, of bringing forth our strengths, both at an individual and collective level, to think up, design and implement positive social transformation.

A world where both similarities and differences are celebrated, and where every person is conscious of their own power to create the life they desire. A world in which spectators turn into "spect-actors" (a term coined by Augusto Boal), at once observing and acting on the world around them.

The Mandala of our Truths - A tool to explore tensions

Posted on May 24, 2018 at 7:38am 1 Comment

Uganda GLF, October 2017.

As part of the “market place”, Belcompetence has chosen to showcase a few tools different facilitators have been experimenting with and which may be relevant to strengthen our practice of SALT/CLCP. One such tool is called the “mandala of our truths”, and it is part of something called “deep ecology”, and specifically…

Catherine Nyirinkindi lives on – the legacy of indiscriminating love

We are in 2017, on a beautiful October day in Bugonga, Entebbe, Uganda.

Betty, the chairperson of the community, starts telling us the history of the community and how they came together.

She speaks one name: Catherine Nyirinkindi.

Suddenly, the ten to twelve members…

A feast of interdepency

I’d like to come back for a few moments to a day a small group of us shared on April 17th 2017, a day in “the (he)Art of Europe”.

We sat in a clown school in Grez-Doiceau, a space to host People making Art, and Play.

“We” were a group of 10 people gathered around a common intention: reconnecting to our dream for Europe.

Volatile politics and…
