Dearest Constellation friends
As you know, our awesome Visual Development couple David & Jessica have been working very hard for several months now to bring you the first-born of a series of documentary episodes called As You Open Your Eyes…
The first episode, Dancing Jajas, centers around the jajas of HENU in Uganda, those grandmothers and grandfathers who have so much to teach us about their dream of “living together in harmony” !
As a first taste of what is to come, please enjoy the following stop-motion video, a local recipe to create burning fuel from leftover charcoal and everyday cooking ingredients!
Like the video? Please do share it with your own networks, be they outdoor lovers, DIY fans, barbecue queens and kings, or teachers looking for educational workshops to conduct with their students - the video is short, lively, and didactic in nature!
It could also interest anyone keen on natural resources management, social entrepreneurship and innovation, sustainability, resourceful living and solution-oriented behavior.
Can’t wait to watch the full movie? The full episode will be available to the whole world… sometime in August ;-) ! But for you lucky few, we will provide you with a link and password to watch in your own time and sprinkle some SALT with friends or neighbors! Please contact Marlou for access: marlou@communitylifecompetence.org
Want to organize a screening in your own context? Again, Marlou is your "girl" ;-) : marlou@communitylifecompetence.org
You’d like to support the making-of more episodes or know people who’d be interested in helping? The place to go to is this brand new crowdfunding platform: https://www.pifworld.com/en/projects/SMjE27-lj6w/as-you-open-your-eyes/about
Enjoy it, share it without moderation, and please give us your feedback!!!!
You'll find ideas of a short blurb to include in your communications around the "homemade briquettes" below :)
Wishing you a lovely weekend, sprinkled with SALT, spice, and everything nice :) !
Celicia.

#localknowledgematters straight from Uganda, a local "recipe" - reuse charcoal and combine it with everyday cooking ingredients to create burning fuel - better for the environment, and for the wallet! The wisdom of Ugandan "jajas", the grandmas and grandpas we should listen to more often
