Wow, really nice video. I enjoyed the playfulness and joy that radiates this little movie. Not too dramatic like most videos that want to transfer a message. It certainly starts from strengths and a dream. Great and thank you for sharing.

Dear Roli;

Thanks for those inspiring video.  I will share it with Enang, Rini and other youths I work with.   Sure this is so cool.  Never say never as Justin Beiber says also.

Thanks Roli

Hi Roli,

Thanks! This is a very inspiring video, very enjoyable too, how a group of children realized their dream of playing football. Where there is a will, there is a way.

The working group for Community Action day 2011 feels that youth take the lead in this year's community action day in September and this video reiterates how youth can inject enthusiasm and zeal and inspire other groups to join in.

Football again brings some hearts together!! It is inspiring and this should teach our jaded souls that we should keep trying and persevering.

TMB bank have launched a new brand vision "Make THE Difference" by making a film to inspire people to start thinking differently. This is the true story of a football team that lived on a little island in the south of Thailand called "Koh Panyee". Koh Panyee is a floating village in the middle of the sea that does not have an inch of soil. The kids that lived there loved to watch football on TV, and really wanted to play for themselves. Watch this short film on how they used innovative thinking, hard work, and determination to make their dream come true.

Youth RISE recently participated in the Mali Youth Summit.   The event was organised by UNAIDS, and brought together 100 young HIV and AIDS activists from around the world to collectively define what young people demand of their leaders in the HIV and AIDS response, particularly leading up to the UN High Level Meeting on HIV/AIDS which is to take place in New York in June.
The outcome of the meeting was a Call to Action.  I encourage all of you to read and endorse the Call of Action which can be found at:
The participants of the Summit will also be taking the document to their respective Governments, ministries and delegations to demand they take on our recommendations, bringing them to the High Level Meeting in June where a new Declaration of Commitment on HIV and AIDS will be negotiated, and to include these demands in their national responses.
As you can see in the document, one of the demands specifically relates to young people who use drugs, asking for the removal of barriers to harm reduction services for young people, as well as the removal of punitive laws that target young drug users which Youth RISE was successfully able to include into the document.
I urge you all to also present this document to the relevant persons within your Governments.
If you want any further information on the Summit or Call to Action, please contact

Over 3000 young people are infected with HIV every day. Only 1 in 3 young people have full knowledge of how HIV is transmitted.

Thanks for the information Korey!

It looks like an amazing opportunity. I've forwarded the information to our youth and HIV program coordinators, to see if there's anyone interested from Mae Hong Son or Lamphun Thailand. Thanks again!!
