When we think about creating change in a community, the question arises: where should we start? The answer often lies in a place that holds respect, trust, and influence - the first thing that comes to my mind is - "School".
Schools are more than just buildings where students learn; they are the heart of the community. Teachers and headmasters are not only educators but also leaders, mentors, and role models. People listen to them, rely on their guidance, and often look up to them for solutions to challenges beyond education.
By working with schools, we tap into this deep well of respect and trust. When teachers are inspired and motivated, the ideas they embrace don’t just stay within the classroom walls. They flow outward, influencing students, parents, and the larger community. A school has the unique ability to act as a bridge, connecting hope and knowledge to every household it touches.
This is why schools are a powerful starting point for change. If we empower teachers with approaches like SALT—they will naturally use their influence to inspire others. The potential for impact is enormous because teachers have the ability to reach not just individual students, but entire communities.
That is why we chose Joynagar High School—to plant the seeds of hope and possibility where they could flourish, not just within the school, but across the entire community. By starting at a place of trust and respect, we created a foundation for lasting change.

Rituu! Thank you so much! :)
thanks Adila for this perspective. What I think is strengthening the process here is SALT with and beyond the school- with students, parents and grandparents. Congratulations GROW team!
