And the story continues...
The mamas (care workers) at the Orphanage St Enfant Jésus of Abomey (OSEJ) are celebrating. Grouping and taking action(meeting with their superior) to improve their working status has finally brought the results they wanted!
After a first negative response from their superior, she has finally accepted to subscribe the mamas in the social security! They will have official contracts and they will be able to benefit from medical insurance and salary raise to the minimum wage. They are now excited preparing to hand in all their documents. This good news is also for the social assistant of the OSEJ and other workers at the center.
For this, we are all planning an event on the 22nd of April to celebrate this and other improvements that have taken place these past months. The story continues!
