how to tackle the issue of staff motivation in an organisation (context of a public administration)? that is the question the HR colleagues of this organisation have asked themselves; in other words, how can they contribute, as HR, to create, stimulate, and maintain a motivating and positive working environment?

the (around 25) colleagues sat together: 3 little workshops of 2 hours, one every week;

First session: SALT is introduced, as well as CLCP... Different vocabulary (appreciation, dream...), different approach and rhythm (space/time for authentic sharing), different setting (sitting in circle). "Are we allowed to dream?" is one of the first questions. State of mind: surprise, trust and doubts, awareness raised, curiosity, SALT.

Second session: consolidation of the dream, agreement on the practices (prepared in advance by hosting team) and the 3 priorities (as well as self-assessment); 2 intense hours in circle, attentive listening and rich exchanges. State of mind: impatience, hope, trust and doubt, more of a common understanding of the challenge, longing for action, SALT.

Third session: towards plans of actions; 3 working groups: brainstorming and first signs of action plans; then convergence, sharing in plenary and check-out. Plans of actions need some finalisation (list of actions, some elements missing in who? when? indictors of success...). They will be circulated later with a harvest of the 3 sessions.  State of mind: change, concrete things, actions, follow-up, gratefulness, SALT.

So a seed of SALT has definitively been planted here; let's nurture it and see what will come out... Thank you very much to the hosting team and for the kind advises of coaches and facilitators: Olivia, Jan, Jean-Louis, Erik...

This is great stuff Nathalie, well done! I look forward to share this experience with you, see it to the next step. And learn from this experience to approach other organisations and private companies. Keep it up!
