Balanced diet is a process of healing. It is based on this that some women groups in my area have sort better feeding habits as a means of fighting the world's pandemic.
Nutrition is the analysis of food and what it does to the body.It is also the study of the various food types and their nutritional contents. Nutrition also deals with the composition of food, its cooking methods and consequences of lmack of vital nutrientsin the body.
In a workshop carried out last year for trainers of HIV/AIDS, it was concluded that
-people infected with HIV/AIDS need to eat more than normal people because they need enough energy to fight common symptoms such as fevers which cause increase temperature leading to exhaustion
-eat alot of protein foods so as to repairdamaged tissues especially after opportunistic infections
-take alot of vegetables and fruits which are very rich in vitamins
- they most eat the best they can at least 3-5 times a day to keep blood sugar lavel constant
-the patient should weigh him/herself regularly to check weight loss.
Good nutrition is 50% treatment.
Good day,
Constance
