TASO exist to contribute to a process of preventing HIV infection, restoring hope and improving the quality of life of persons, families and communities affected by HIV infection and diseases.
TASO Philosophy
TASO's philosophy is ' living positively with AIDS' as such individuals, families and communities that interface with TASOare empowered to make decisions resulting in response to HIV related challenges with a positive attitude aimed at a better life for self, family members and communities.
Counselling remains the major activity of TASO as the 2006 report demonstrates. TASO believes counselingpeople with HIV/AIDS pillars for the fight against HIV/AIDS. Clients are also encouraged to share their status with others in a bid to facilitate care, support and prevention efforts. Thus 90% of clients counseled in 2006 reveal thier status to someone else.
