Community-based participatory art project in Beijing (China)

I attended a presentation on The Feather Nest Project with Bojun Hu, Ilda Freire, and Emily Wong. Taos Institute organises regular calls for its associates and I am proud to be their associate. This presentation explored the co-creative process in a community-based participatory art project, and discussed embodied ways of transforming the relational space in between people.  Bojun, Ilda, and Emily co-created a community-based participatory art project in Beijing China. The Feathers Nest project was a physical movement and resting nest space that invited participants to remember the primal instinct for the archetypal home. Through guided movement meditation and contact improvisation practices, participants were supported in discovering the nest and exploring both their bodies and the relational spaces in between people. Bojun, Ilda, and Emily shared about the co-creative process, and shared some of the participants' experience of being and moving in the nest space, and the ways they related to one another.  This stimulated  jumpstart a discussion on embodiment, improvisational practices and their intersections with relational practices.
Dawn Dole, Executive Director, The Taos Institute has uploaded a shorter version of this recording  and also kindly
shared the presentation. See the Attachment
