‘When you come to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on’ Franklin D. Roosevelt
The world has been metaphorically referred to as a battle field, and we are the fighters. As it is in every fight, there are winners and losers. The line between winning and losing is a thin one. Whether we are on the winning side or the losing side is largely dependent on how long we are ready to hold on without losing sight of the results we want even when they don’t seem to be what we are getting at the moment. As Dale Carnegie puts it:
‘Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there seemed to be no hope at all’
We are closest to our breakthrough when we most feel like breaking down …embrace tenacity! It takes a strong person to pursue an important goal to the end. Ask the late Wangari Maathai. She was beaten, jailed, scolded, call it, but we all like to talk about the Nobel Prize, it all came because she couldn’t give up the fight …and she won.
Every time you feel like giving up, look up to your goal! If Joseph was to give up, he would rot in prison. If it’s important to you, it’s important not to give up. “If you are going through hell, keep going.” Winston Churchill
Sometimes we have reasons to give up…valid reasons: 'They hurt us. I have tried so many times. May be its not for me. There are better people to do it. I have failed before, nobody in my family made it….' But there is no valid reason for not succeeding. If you ever find a reason to give up consult the enthusiasm and the satisfaction that comes with accomplishing the task …then pick yourself up again.
However heavy the load, refuse to collapse under it. For all the many reasons why you should give up, find one why you shouldn’t, and look up! The next blow you are afraid of could be the one to thrust you to victory!
Always Listen to hope “When the world says, ‘Give up,’ Hope whispers, ‘Try it one more time.’ Unknown
One more time could be all it will take! Try one more time …and Never Ever GIVE UP
