Now I am a recovering addict!!

- Make a better world with walking together fighting the HIV virus epidemic with having a relationship with anyone who concern about this case especially member in this group!!!

PILOT PROJECT in INDONESIA

I'm working at "LENTERA ANAK PELANGI" we've founding by UNDP and the name of project is :
"MITIGATION HIV AND AIDS EFFECT ON CHILDREN WHO BORN FROM INJECTION DRUG USER PARENTS THAT LIVING WITH HIV AIDS "
we try to reach children that of course still very young ( 0-12 years old ) in Jakarta who had born from PLWHA eventough they follow infected from their parents or not..

I'm taufiq..recovering addict and I'm infected!
from last 2 years ago I start take ARV medicine for reduce the virus is my body..
FYI, I consumption ZIDOVUDINE AND NEVIRAPINE ARV medicine..
in my first week they all just give me not a big deal side effect for my body n soul..
in this past 2 years, I run my medicine for every day in my own fix time actually..
My CD-4 on my blood has already become growing up since I start eat the medicine...

A very happy birthday Taufiq!
Just came from a community visit where we were discusing the question"Who are we"? connected with the concerns and strengths for response that we have. One community member reflected....If we are to powerfully influence people we have to keep on getting better at answering the question... Who are we? For in answering the question strengths are revealed,concerns are shared and hope is sustained.
There is power in your story,and am truly motivated to hear how you are touching lives of children and changing the picture of HIV/AIDS around as people get help and live strong.Blessings

it is also very courageous of you to talk about yourself being an addict and being infected, not a lot of filipinos would openly talk about those things here. Your courage inspires. And hopefully because these are no longer issues to you and you can focus on more posditive things (which is very important) your long road towards becoming a recovering addict might not be that looooong. you have the courage to admit to your sitiuation, im sure you have the courage to recover frpom being an addict too. somehow I have that positive hope for all people no matter what they're condition might be. we are above all things that come to us.
