Practice: INCLUSION AND REPRESENTATION
Description:
Level 1: We understand the Importance of involving others and representing others but don’t necessarily involve other CSOs.
Level 2 : We have some times included activities where we work with other community members and CSOs.
Level 3: We have the experience of involving other communities and CSOs on specific agendas we work on.
Level 4: We consciously ensure that we build in components of involving communities and other CSOs in almost all our areas of work we do.
Level 5 : We practically identify areas for improvement within and outside the community and implement in our own programs
Result:
Level 1: Lack of inclusion and poor representation. Communities feel left out and do not participate and feel a part of the process
Level 2 : A sense of involvement in activities
found in communities and sometimes also a feeling of being used.
Level 3: Alliances in addressing specific issues and relationships are built between us and the community and other CSOs
Level 4: The communities and CSOs participate and
partner with us and we together we express solidarity.
Level 5 : There is ownership and sustainability.
