Today, the Regional Confidence Project (RCP) is taking a new step with the first training day for the local facilitators from Liberia. A group of 31 local facilitators selected from 8 communities, from 4 health facilities including the referral hospital, from two district offices and from the Christian Health Association of Liberia (CHAL), have come together to learn about the SALT/CLCP in order to undertake community discussions around restoration of the confidence between…Continue
In October 2012 I was part of the local facilitators trained by Mr. Sangaré of the Constellation from Bamako. It was my first time hearing about this approach. At first we thought we might become experts, but in reality and in practical terms, it was very simple: SALT was rather a simple way of seeing others and a rewarding way of doing with others. At the end of the training we were required to experiment with a group of people. I decided to do it in my first grassroots community:…Continue

In February 2016, our friends from the group of « Amitoyens » in pays de Gex called us again in order to further extend the Amitoyen’s idea through application of CLCP and SALT with more people as their project is about to scale up. After a brief accompaniment of a small group in 2014, the project successfully grown and moved a few steps ahead with administrative issues - owing to the power of SALT. Their enthusiasm allowed them to identify around 60 more families interested…Continue
I have had recently the chance to watch an interesting movie showing how some people and some communities are responding positively to the current global challenges. It shows how people together can face issues related agriculture, education, energy, waste management, finance and democracy, through local community responses. This a refreshing and positive perspective on the global challenges. And definitively, our SALTy way of working is greatly in line with all what is said in that movie.…Continue

Following the programme developed with La Mutuelle des Pays de Redon, France, Hervé, Loli and Luc are continuing to learn and share experiences with the members of the local committee for Health promotion. We are always amazed as we discover every time new strengths in the group. On 27th of November, we heard a wonderful story where a group of health workers played a critical role, applying SALT principles…

This partnership aims at supporting a group of institutions and associations to develop and implement a new vision of "together health for all in pays de Vilaine". Based on the Ottawa declaration, the group is dreaming to built policies and implement activities that will restate the essential role of…Continue
Dear all friends. I just want to share this story below which shows how we can facilitate positive appreciation within a group. Hope you will find it useful.
In 2006, we visited a group of widows in rural Kenya. This group was formed in 2001 and to support orphans in the community, orphans from AIDS or any other issues.
The purpose of the visit was to learn about how they had come together and what they actually did as a group, as well…Continue
