Padma Group Jasmine Apa's initiative story

I visited various groups this week to observe the progress of their initiatives. When I went to Padma Group to observe the initiatives, I went there to observe the progress of the herb garden and saw that another new initiative had been born. Seeing which my heart was filled with joy. Today I am going to share that joy through Jasmine Apa's initiative.

Jasmine Apa is a member of Padma Group. Padma Group is starting work through some initiatives. Inspired by all these initiatives and hearing the story of Marufa of Tia Group teaching tailoring, she herself took an initiative to teach tailoring in her group. Jasmine Apa told Akhie, Nilufa, and Tinni about this initiative - you are doing the work of a tailor and creating a herb garden, it is good, in addition to this, I want to teach you one more job, which is tailoring. In this, they also expressed interest in learning tailoring. Nilufa Apa tells them that improving the skills of girls in manual work is one of the tasks.

Jasmine Apa says that if I had not been with Salt today, I would not have understood all this. I understood myself about myself but I would not have found a place to express it. While saying this, Jasmine Apa burst into tears and her voice became heavy because a different incident had happened in her life.

Jasmine Apa is the youngest daughter of her parents. Her parents got her married with Jasmine Apa's consent. But due to the cruel twist of fate and the torture of her mother-in-law and husband, she had to leave that family and divorce her husband. Her husband's family was good, it was a family of financial prosperity. But she could not survive in that family.

Jasmine Apa has married for the second time. The husband's previous wife, whom Jasmine Apa has married now, has died. She has a previous son and daughter in this family. Jasmine Apa also has two daughters and a son. In total, there are 5 children. Meanwhile, her husband works as a blacksmith and the family does not run well due to her husband's small income.
Jasmine Apa had one skill, she was a skilled tailor. She knew different types of designs and sewing work from the beginning. So Jasmine Apa bought a sewing machine to do tailoring work. Jasmine Apa gets many orders from the people of the community because she knows beautiful designs and sewing work. She earns about three hundred taka every day.

Jasmine Apa says, I said these things, that's why I was able to live independently and independently because of the accident that happened in my life. From there, I have this thought so that if any accident happens in the life of a girl, she can become a skilled and brave woman like me through handwork.
Because if you know handwork, the strength works inside you and gives you a different kind of courage to move forward.

That's why Jasmine Apa is teaching tailoring to Nilufa, Akhi, and Tinni of the Padma Group. They are also learning the job with interest. Jasmine Apa also says that I will not take any money from them for teaching, but if more people want to learn, I will teach them for free.

পদ্মা গ্রুপের জেসমিন আপার উদ্যোগের গল্প :
আমি এ সপ্তাহে বিভিন্ন গ্রুপে গিয়ে তাদের উদ্যোগের অগ্রগতি পর্যবেক্ষণ করেছি। উদ্যোগের পর্যবেক্ষণ করতে যখন আমি পদ্মা গ্রুপে যাই, ভেষজ বাগানের অগ্রগতি পর্যবেক্ষণের জন্য তখন সেখানে গিয়ে দেখি আরেকটি নতুন উদ্যোগের জন্ম হয়েছে। যেটা দেখে আমার মন আনন্দে ভরে উঠেছে ।আজ আমি সেই আনন্দের কথা শেয়ার করতে যাচ্ছি জেসমিন আপার উদ্যোগের মাধ্যমে।

জেসমিন আপা পদ্মা গ্রুপের একজন সদস্য। পদ্মা গ্রুপ কিছু উদ্যোগের মাধ্যমে
কাজ শুরু করছে। এই সব উদ্যোগের অনুপ্রেরণায় এবং টিয়া গ্রুপের মারুফার টেইলারিং এর কাজ শেখানোর গল্প শুনে সে নিজেও একটা উদ্যোগ নেয় তার এই গ্রুপে টেইলারিং এর কাজ শেখানোর। এই উদ্যোগের কথা জেসমিন আপা - আখি, নিলুফা, ও তিন্নিকে বলে তোমরা কুশিকাটার কাজ করছো ভেষজ বাগান তৈরি করছো ভালো কথা, এর পাশাপাশি আমি তোমাদের আরো একটা কাজ শেখাতে চাই সেটা হল দর্জির কাজ। এতে তারাও দর্জির কাজ শেখার জন্য আগ্রহ প্রকাশ করল । নিলুফা আপা তাদের বলে মেয়েদের লেখাপড়ার পাশাপাশি হাতের কাজের দক্ষতা বাড়ানো সেটা একটা অন্যতম কাজ।

জেসমিন আপা বলে আজ আমি যদি সল্টের সাথে না থাকতাম তাহলে এসব বুঝতাম না।নিজের সম্পর্কেই নিজেকে বুঝতাম কিন্তু প্রকাশ করার মতো জায়গা পেতাম না। এই কথা বলতে গিয়ে জেসমিন আপা কান্না করে ফেলে তার কন্ঠ ভারি হয়ে আসে কারণ তার জীবনে ঘটে গেছে এক অন্যরকম ঘটনা।

জেসমিন আপা বাবা-মায়ের ছোট মেয়ে। তার বাবা-মা তাকে বিয়ে দেয় জেসমিন আপার মতামত নিয়েই। কিন্তু ভাগ্যের নির্মম পরিহাসে এবং শাশুড়ি ও স্বামী নির্যাতনের স্বীকার হয়ে তাকে ওই সংসার ছাড়তে হয় এবং স্বামীকে ডিভোর্স করতে হয়। স্বামীর সংসারটা ভালোই ছিল আর্থিক সচ্ছলতার সংসার ছিল। কিন্তু সে সংসারে সে টিকতে পারল না।

জেসমিন আপার আবার দ্বিতীয়বার বিয়ে হয়েছে।জেসমিন আপার এখন যেখানে বিয়ে করেছে ওই স্বামীর আগের বউ মারা গেছে। তার এই সংসারে আগের একটি ছেলে ও মেয়ে আছে। জেসমিন আপার নিজেরও আবার দুইটি মেয়ে ও একটি ছেলে হয়েছে। মোট মিলে ৫ জন ছেলেমেয়ে হয়েছে। এদিকে স্বামী কামারের কাজ করে স্বামীর অল্প আয়ে সংসার ভালোভাবে চলে না।
জেসমিন আপার একটা দক্ষতা ছিল সে একজন দক্ষ টেইলার। সে বিভিন্ন ধরনের ডিজাইন ও সেলাই এর কাজ জানতো আগে থেকেই। তাই জেসমিন আপা একটা সেলাই মেশিন কিনে নেয় দর্জির কাজ করার জন্য। জেসমিন আপা সুন্দর ডিজাইন ও সেলাইয়ের কাজ জানার কারণে অনেক অর্ডার পায় কমিউনিটির লোকজনের কাছ থেকে সেলাই করে। এতে তিনি প্রতিদিন প্রায় তিনশত টাকা আয় করেন।

জেসমিন আপা বলে আমি কথাগুলা বললাম এ কারণেই আমার জীবনে যেমন দুর্ঘটনা ঘটলো আমার হাতের কাজ জানার কারণে আমি যেমন নিজেকে স্বাবলম্বী করে স্বচ্ছল ভাবে চলতে পারছি সেখান থেকে আমার এই চিন্তা ভাবনা যাতে কোন মেয়ের জীবনে কোন দুর্ঘটনা ঘটে গেলে সে যেন হাতের কাজের মাধ্যমে আমার মত একজন দক্ষ ও সাহসী নারী হয়ে উঠতে পারে।
কারণ হাতের কাজ জানা থাকলে নিজের ভিতরে শক্তি কাজ করে একটা অন্যরকম নিজেকে সাহস যোগায় সামনে এগিয়ে চলার।

তাইতো জেসমিন আপা পদ্মা গ্রুপের নিলুফা ,আখি ,ও তিন্নিকে দর্জির কাজ শেখাচ্ছে। তারাও আগ্রহের সাথে কাজ শিখছে। জেসমিন আপা আরো বলে আমি এদের কাছ থেকে কোন টাকা পয়সায় নিব না শেখানোর জন্য যদি আরো অন্যরা শিখতে চায় আমি তাদেরকেও বিনামূল্যে শেখাবো।
