People with different thoughts, habits and attitudes live under the same roof, in the same neighborhood, in the same community. Some are afraid of leadership, keep themselves to themselves. Some want to enlighten the society with their dreams, courage and sense of responsibility. On the other hand, there are many who only think about their own well-being and never think about the community. However, amidst all these diversities, there is a ray of hope—our teenagers and young people. If the seeds of potential hidden within these young people can be properly nurtured, they can become the main builders of a sustainable, beautiful society. When a child enters adolescence, curiosity, consciousness and the courage to protest are born in them. When that teenager or teenager turns into a young man or woman, a sense of responsibility, a desire for leadership, and the courage to think about society develop within them. They no longer want to tolerate the darkness of society. They ask questions—"Why is there so much inequality in our community?", "Why is the literacy rate low?", "Why are mothers abused?", "Why are there drug dens in the community?" These questions are not just questions; they are calls for change. The SALT (Stimulate-Appreciate-Learn-Transfer) approach helps adolescents discover this strength, recognize it, and use it for development. When we ask adolescents,
🔹 “What do you have that can be useful to society?”
They think, seek answers, and finally understand that it is possible to change society with their thoughts, imagination, dreams, and courage. A recent group SALT session showed that young people have a kind of confidence and the ability to dream. They are not only thinking about their own future, but also about the development of the entire community. They want a society free from violence, rich in education, and safe. Young people are the key to sustainable development. Older members of the community may not want to move forward on the path of change due to habits, fears, or attitudes. But teenagers and young men often want to break the rules and move forward. They know that to change society, they must first change themselves. They understand that if one person starts, ten others will follow. Their dreams are not just for themselves, but for everyone. Their strengths are: the courage to take leadership, the desire to speak out against injustice, the ability to use technology, and the attitude to learn and teach. Young people are our light of hope. Where teenagers become aware, creative, and responsible, it does not take long to change society. Assessing them through participatory methods like SALT Then they become more motivated, courageous, and ready to take leadership in society. So it is time to learn to see teenagers not just as "the future generation", but as "changemakers of the present". We must hand them the pen to build society, and we will all be co-authors of that story. 

একই ছাদের নিচে, একই পাড়ায়, একই কমিউনিটিতে—বসবাস করে ভিন্ন ভিন্ন চিন্তা, অভ্যাস ও মনোভাবের মানুষ। কেউ নেতৃত্বকে ভয় পায়, নিজেকে গুটিয়ে রাখে। কেউবা নিজের স্বপ্ন, সাহস এবং দায়িত্ববোধ দিয়ে সমাজকে আলোকিত করতে চায়। আবার এমন অনেকেই আছেন যারা শুধু নিজের ভালো নিয়ে ভাবেন, কমিউনিটির কথা কখনো মাথায় আনেন না। তবে, এইসব বৈচিত্র্যের মাঝেই রয়েছে এক আশার আলো—আমাদের কিশোর-কিশোরী এবং যুব সমাজ। এই তরুণদের ভেতরে যে সম্ভাবনার বীজ লুকিয়ে আছে, তা যদি সঠিকভাবে পরিচর্যা করা যায়, তাহলে তারা হয়ে উঠতে পারে একটি টেকসই, সুন্দর সমাজের মূল কারিগর। একটি শিশু যখন কৈশোরে পা দেয়, তখন তার মধ্যে জন্ম নেয় কৌতূহল, চেতনা ও প্রতিবাদ করার সাহস। সেই কিশোর বা কিশোরী যখন যুবক বা যুবতীতে রূপ নেয়, তখন তার মধ্যে গড়ে ওঠে দায়িত্ববোধ, নেতৃত্বের আকাঙ্ক্ষা, সমাজ নিয়ে ভাবার সাহস। তারা সমাজের অন্ধকারকে আর সহ্য করতে চায় না। তারা প্রশ্ন তোলে—"কেন আমাদের কমিউনিটিতে এতো বৈষম্য?", "কেন শিক্ষার হার কম ?", "কেন মায়েরা নির্যাতনের শিকার হন?", " কেনো কমিউনিটিতে মাদকের আখরা। এ প্রশ্নগুলো শুধু প্রশ্ন নয়, এগুলো হলো পরিবর্তনের ডাক।SALT (Stimulate-Appreciate-Learn-Transfer) পদ্ধতি কিশোর-কিশোরীদের এই শক্তিকে খুঁজে বের করে, স্বীকৃতি দেয় এবং উন্নয়নের পথে কাজে লাগাতে সহায়তা করে। যখন আমরা কিশোরদের জিজ্ঞাসা করি,
🔹 “তোমার মধ্যে কী আছে যা সমাজের কাজে লাগতে পারে?”
তারা ভাবে, উত্তর খোঁজে, এবং অবশেষে বুঝতে পারে—তাদের চিন্তা, কল্পনা, স্বপ্ন আর সাহস দিয়েই সমাজ বদলানো সম্ভব। সম্প্রতি একটি গ্রুপ SALT সেশনে দেখা গেছে, তরুণদের মধ্যে রয়েছে একধরনের আত্মবিশ্বাস ও স্বপ্ন দেখার ক্ষমতা। তারা শুধু নিজেদের ভবিষ্যৎ নয়, পুরো কমিউনিটির উন্নয়ন নিয়ে ভাবছে। তারা চায় একটা নির্যাতনমুক্ত, শিক্ষা-সমৃদ্ধ, নিরাপদ সমাজ। তরুণরাই টেকসই উন্নয়নের মূল চাবিকাঠি। কমিউনিটির প্রবীণ সদস্যরা হয়তো অভ্যাস, ভয় কিংবা দৃষ্টিভঙ্গির কারণে পরিবর্তনের পথে এগোতে চান না। কিন্তু কিশোর-কিশোরী ও যুবকরা অনেক সময়েই নিয়ম ভেঙে সামনে এগিয়ে যেতে চায়। তারা জানে, সমাজ বদলাতে হলে প্রথমে নিজেকে বদলাতে হবে। তারা বোঝে—যদি একজন শুরু করে, অন্য দশজন অনুসরণ করবে। তাদের স্বপ্ন শুধু নিজেদের জন্য নয়, সবার জন্য।তাদের শক্তি হলো: নেতৃত্ব গ্রহণের সাহস, অন্যায়ের বিরুদ্ধে কথা বলার স্পৃহা, প্রযুক্তিকে ব্যবহার করার দক্ষতা, শেখা ও শেখানোর মনোভাব। তরুণরাই আমাদের আশার আলো যেখানে কিশোর কিশোরীরা সচেতন, সৃষ্টিশীল এবং দায়িত্ববান হয়ে ওঠে, সেখানে সমাজ বদলাতে সময় লাগে না। SALT এর মতো অংশগ্রহণমূলক পদ্ধতির মাধ্যমে তাদের মূল্যায়ন করা হলে তারা আরও উদ্বুদ্ধ হয়, সাহস পায়, এবং সমাজে নেতৃত্ব নিতে প্রস্তুত হয়। তাই সময় এসেছে, কিশোর কিশোরীদের শুধু "ভবিষ্যতের প্রজন্ম" হিসেবে না দেখে, "বর্তমানের পরিবর্তনদাতা" হিসেবে দেখতে শেখার। তাদের হাতে তুলে দিতে হবে সমাজ গড়ার কলম, এবং আমরা সবাই হবো সেই গল্পের সহলেখক।
