COVID-19 Self Assessment- for Individuals, Communities & doctors and health care workers

Dr. Jean Louis and me have over the past few days developed the COVID-19 Self Assessments for the Individual and Community levels respectively. These are only at a draft stage as they have just been pilot tested.

These Self Assessments (SA) consists of a list of practices: 14 at the personal or individual level and 12 for the resident groups or communities.

The lists of practices is just a suggestion of what we developed and has proved useful to us. We are sure this list of practices can also guide you to become competent against the virus. Of course these are not cast in stone, and so you and your communities can develop their own or adapt this list of practices to suit best their circumstances and stage in the pandemic.

To begin with, for the practice of washing our hands, we have described what the various SA levels of competence, namely 1 to 5 would be like. Consequently, against the practice of washing our hands, which is the second on the Individual SA, we have marked the competency reported from the pilot test. Similarly, we can decide the level we are in regarding each practice, one-by-one and note the level against that practice to complete the SA. The results of the pilot tests are shown in the two SA slides.

The last slide gives you details for contacting Jean Louis and me for suggestions and improvements. This is work in progress

Self Assessment COVID

Just rest Rafique's post on the development of COVID self assessment tool.

Have shared it with the team in Community Engagement Centre that has been using SALT in its community interactions.  Hope to learn from their efforts. In the meantime would like to know more about how SALT self assessment is being used for covid
