Shri Swami Samarth Study Room Started in Nandwal Gives Strength to Students' Dreams

The development of a village does not happen only through roads, buildings, or facilities. Real development happens when the dreams of young people get the right direction.

In the last few months, positive changes have been seen in the field of education in Nandwal village. Through the community-supported Mauli Career Academy, young people preparing for competitive exams are now getting guidance and physical practice in their own village. The next important step in this journey is the start of the Shri Swami Samarth Study Room. This initiative is not only providing a place to study but also helping students continue working towards their dreams through a community effort.

What changed?

Many students in the village did not have a quiet and suitable place to study. Students preparing for competitive exams, college studies, or other education had to travel to Kolhapur to use study rooms. Because of this, they had to spend money every month on study room fees, travel, and also lose valuable time.

Understanding this need, the village youth took the initiative and started the Shri Swami Samarth Study Room, which is open 24 hours a day. It is clean, safe, and has all the basic facilities. Chairs, tables, drinking water, electricity, and a peaceful environment have been provided.

In which village did this change happen?

This change happened in Nandwal village with the support of local youth and people who give importance to education. This is not a project started by any outside organization. It is a step taken by the village itself for the future of its students.

Contribution of the ARC and SALT process

Through the SALT (Support and Share, Appreciate, Listen and Learn, Team) process under ARC, communication among the village youth increased. During discussions, they understood the students' problems, dreams, and available opportunities.

Through this process, the idea of the Mauli Career Academy was developed. Later, the youth realized that guidance alone was not enough. Students also needed a proper and peaceful place to study regularly. With this idea, the village youth took the initiative and started the Shri Swami Samarth Study Room.

Impact of this initiative

Because of this study room, students no longer need to travel outside the village for studying. Earlier, many students were paying about ₹500 to ₹600 every month for study room fees in Kolhapur. They also spent about ₹1,000 on travel fuel every month. Now, both their time and money are being saved.

Most importantly, the time spent on travelling is now used for studying. Students are able to study regularly for longer hours. Since many students study together in one place, motivation, discipline, and consistency have also increased.

Importance of this change

Creating a good environment for education in a village is an investment in its future. The Mauli Career Academy is giving students the right direction, while the Shri Swami Samarth Study Room is providing the right environment to continue that journey.

Because of these two initiatives, students in the village now have the opportunity to prepare for competitive exams, study, and build their careers in their own village. This has reduced their financial burden and increased the confidence of rural students.
