Cohort: The Story of Learning, Growing, and Journeying Together

After joining the ARC Project, the "Cohort" became for me not merely the name of a group, but a beautiful journey of collective learning, growth, and relationship-building. Hailing from ten different organizations, we initially knew one another solely through online meetings. We engaged in work-related discussions and exchanged opinions, yet a certain distance seemed to persist between us. As time went on, however, that distance began to diminish. And following our face-to-face meeting at the Kolkata Convening, those relationships seemed to take on a whole new significance. Within just a few days, we realized that genuine human warmth matters far more than mere acquaintance. Through working together—engaging in discussions, sharing laughter and joy, swapping stories, and exchanging experiences—we found ourselves bound by an invisible bond. The cultural evening remains the most memorable highlight of all. During that event, no one felt hesitant, nor did anyone hold back or hide themselves away. Everyone participated wholeheartedly, sharing in the collective joy. Those moments taught us just how easily positive energy and mutual trust can bring people closer together.

Throughout this journey, I gained not only professional experience but also learned the value of appreciating people, listening with an open mind, and moving forward together. It felt as though I discovered the true essence of "SALT" within this very experience: Stimulating inspired us; Appreciative taught us to respect one another; Learn Recently offered us continuous new insights; and Transfer provided the opportunity to share our experiences and learnings. The duration of our time together may not have been long, but the memories run deep. We returned with renewed enthusiasm, fresh confidence, and a treasure trove of beautiful moments. Even today, I feel that some relationships are forged not by the passage of time, but by the depth of shared feelings. And in my life, the Cohort stands as the name of just such a beautiful union—one that will remain etched in my heart for a long, long time to come.

'কোহর্ট' (Cohort): একসাথে শেখা, বেড়ে ওঠা ও যাত্রার গল্প

এআরসি (ARC) প্রজেক্টে যোগ দেওয়ার পর, 'কোহর্ট' আমার কাছে কেবল একটি দলের নাম হয়ে থাকেনি; বরং এটি হয়ে উঠেছিল যৌথভাবে শেখা, ব্যক্তিগত বিকাশ এবং পারস্পরিক সম্পর্ক গড়ে তোলার এক চমৎকার যাত্রা। দশটি ভিন্ন ভিন্ন প্রতিষ্ঠানের প্রতিনিধি হিসেবে শুরুতে আমাদের পরিচয় ছিল কেবল অনলাইন মিটিংয়ের মাধ্যমেই সীমাবদ্ধ। কাজের প্রয়োজনে আলোচনা ও মতবিনিময় চললেও, আমাদের মধ্যে এক ধরণের দূরত্ব যেন থেকেই গিয়েছিল। তবে সময়ের সাথে সাথে সেই দূরত্ব কমতে শুরু করে। আর কলকাতায় আয়োজিত সশরীরে সাক্ষাতের (Kolkata Convening) পর সেই সম্পর্কগুলো যেন এক নতুন মাত্রা পেল। মাত্র কয়েক দিনের মধ্যেই আমরা উপলব্ধি করলাম যে, কেবল পরিচিত হওয়ার চেয়েও মানুষের মধ্যকার আন্তরিক উষ্ণতা অনেক বেশি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ। একসাথে কাজ করা—আলোচনা, হাসি-আনন্দ ভাগ করে নেওয়া এবং নিজেদের গল্প ও অভিজ্ঞতা বিনিময়ের মধ্য দিয়ে—আমরা এক অদৃশ্য বন্ধনে আবদ্ধ হয়ে পড়লাম। এর মধ্যে সাংস্কৃতিক সন্ধ্যাটি ছিল সবচেয়ে স্মরণীয় ও উপভোগ্য মুহূর্ত। সেই আয়োজনে কেউ কোনো দ্বিধাবোধ করেনি, কিংবা নিজেকে গুটিয়ে রাখেনি; বরং সবাই স্বতঃস্ফূর্তভাবে সেই যৌথ আনন্দে শামিল হয়েছিল। সেই মুহূর্তগুলো আমাদের শিখিয়েছিল যে, ইতিবাচক শক্তি ও পারস্পরিক বিশ্বাস কত সহজে মানুষকে একে অপরের কাছাকাছি নিয়ে আসতে পারে।

এই যাত্রাপথে আমি কেবল পেশাগত অভিজ্ঞতাই অর্জন করিনি, বরং মানুষকে মূল্যায়ন করা, খোলা মনে অন্যের কথা শোনা এবং একসাথে এগিয়ে যাওয়ার গুরুত্বও শিখেছি। মনে হলো, এই অভিজ্ঞতার মধ্য দিয়েই আমি 'SALT' (সল্ট)-এর প্রকৃত মর্মার্থ খুঁজে পেয়েছি: Stimulating (উদ্দীপনা) আমাদের অনুপ্রাণিত করেছে; Appreciative (প্রশংসা ও মূল্যায়ন) শিখিয়েছে একে অপরকে সম্মান করতে; Learn (শেখা) প্রতিনিয়ত দিয়েছে নতুন নতুন অন্তর্দৃষ্টি; এবং Transfer (বিনিময়) সুযোগ করে দিয়েছে আমাদের অভিজ্ঞতা ও শিক্ষাগুলো ভাগ করে নেওয়ার। আমাদের একসাথে কাটানো সময়টুকু হয়তো দীর্ঘ ছিল না, কিন্তু সেই স্মৃতিগুলো অত্যন্ত গভীর। আমরা ফিরেছিলাম নতুন উদ্দীপনা, সতেজ আত্মবিশ্বাস এবং সুন্দর সব মুহূর্তের এক অমূল্য ভাণ্ডার নিয়ে। আজও আমার মনে হয়, কিছু সম্পর্ক সময়ের দীর্ঘ পরিক্রমায় নয়, বরং পারস্পরিক অনুভূতির গভীরতায় গড়ে ওঠে। আর আমার জীবনে 'কোহর্ট' ঠিক তেমনই এক সুন্দর সম্পর্কের নাম—যা দীর্ঘকাল আমার হৃদয়ে অমলিন হয়ে থাকবে।

The real strength of this cohort is that people from different organizations come together to learn, appreciate each other, share experiences and build strong friendships.
