ইচ্ছা থেকে উদ্যোগ:রুপালির শিখার যাত্রা (From Desire to Initiative :Rupali's Learning Journey)

কমিউনিটির কিশোরী রুপালির অনেক দিনের একটি ইচ্ছা ছিল—পুঁতির ব্যাগ বানানো শেখার।কমিউনিটি থেকে স্কুল দুরে হয়ে যাওয়ায় তার বাবা মা তার লেখাপড়া বন্ধ করে দেয়,তখন থেকেই তার ইচ্ছা ছিলো হাতের কাজ শিখার।একদিন রুপালি আমার হাতে একটা পুতির ব্যাগ দেখে জানতে চায়, দিদি ব্যাগটা কে বানিয়েছে? আমি তাকে বলি এটা আমি নিজে বানিয়েছি। তখন সে আমাকে বলে আমিও ব্যাগ বানানো শিখতে চাই।আমি তাকে উৎসাহ করি, কিন্তু সে কখনো নিজে চেষ্টা করার সুযোগ পায়নি। তাই তার ইচ্ছাটি মনের মধ্যেই রয়ে গিয়েছিল।

এরপর আমি একদিন রুপালির সাথে SALT করি।সোল্ট(SALT)এর মাধ্যমে রুপালি নিজের ভিতরের শক্তি খুজে পায়।এখন সে সিদ্ধান্ত নেয় সে আর ঘরে বসে না থেকে বাড়িতে বসে আয় করার জন্য কিছু শিখবে।তখন সে আমার কাছে পুতির ব্যাগ বানানো শিখতে চায় আর আমি তাকে বলি যেকোনো সময় তুমি পুতি নিয়ে এসো আমি শিখিয়ে দিবো।তার ইচ্ছা শক্তি এতো ছিলো যে সে অসুস্থর সময় আমার কাছে পুতি নিয়ে আসে শিখার জন্য।

রুপালির এই যাত্রায় আমি একজন ফ্যাসিলিটেটর হিসেবে পাশে ছিলাম। প্রয়োজনীয় দিকনির্দেশনা ও উৎসাহের মাধ্যমে তাকে সহায়তা করেছি, তবে শেখার আগ্রহ, ধৈর্য এবং পরিশ্রম ছিল সম্পূর্ণ তার নিজের। পুতির ব্যাগ ও চাবির রিং বানানো শিখার পাশাপাশি ধীরে ধীরে সে বিভিন্ন ধরনের ডিজাইন শিখতে শুরু করে YouTube দেখে এবং নিজের হাতে সুন্দর সুন্দর পণ্য তৈরি করতে সক্ষম হয়।

আলোকিত কোরি অর্গানাইজেশনের উদ্যোগে ঋষিপাড়া কমিউনিটিতে নলেজ ফেয়ার আয়োজন করা হয় যা ছিলো কমিউনিটির লেড ইনিশিয়েটিভ।সে নলেজ ফেয়ারের উদ্দেশ্য করে রুপালি বিভিন্ন নামের অক্ষরের চাবির রিং বানায়।এখন রুপালি হাতের জিনিস বানিয়ে বিক্রি করে টাকা আয় করে।  

আজ রুপালির গল্প আমাদের মনে করিয়ে দেয় যে, প্রতিটি মানুষের মধ্যেই সম্ভাবনা রয়েছে। অনেক সময় শুধু একটু উৎসাহ, সঠিক দিকনির্দেশনা এবং নিজের ওপর বিশ্বাসই সেই সম্ভাবনাকে বাস্তবে রূপ দেওয়ার জন্য যথেষ্ট। রুপালির এই ছোট উদ্যোগ তার আত্মবিশ্বাস বাড়িয়েছে এবং তাকে নতুন স্বপ্ন দেখতে অনুপ্রাণিত করেছে।

Rupali, a teenager from the community, had a long-standing desire to learn how to make beaded bags. Her parents stopped her education because she was far from school in the community, and since then she had wanted to learn handicrafts. One day, Rupali saw a beaded bag in my hand and asked, "Didi, who made the bag?" I told her that I made it myself. Then she told me that she also wanted to learn how to make bags. I encouraged her, but she never got a chance to try it herself. So her desire remained in her mind.

Then one day, I did SALT with Rupali. Through SALT, Rupali found her inner strength. Now she decided that she would no longer sit at home and learn something to earn money from home. Then she wanted to learn how to make beaded bags from me and I told her that whenever you bring beads, I will teach you. Her willpower was so strong that she would bring beads to me to learn when she was sick.

 I was there as a facilitator on Rupali's journey. I helped her with the necessary guidance and encouragement, but the desire to learn, patience and hard work were all her own. Along with learning to make bead bags and key rings, she gradually started learning different types of designs by watching YouTube and was able to make beautiful products with her own hands.

At the initiative of the Enlightened Kori Organization, a knowledge fair was organized in the Rishipara community, which was the community's lead initiative. For the purpose of the knowledge fair, Rupali made key rings with the letters of different names.Now, Rupali makes money by making and selling handmade items. 

Today, Rupali's story reminds us that every person has potential. Sometimes, just a little encouragement, the right guidance and faith in herself are enough to turn that potential into reality. This small initiative of Rupali has increased her confidence and inspired her to dream new dreams.
