কমিউনিটির পটভূমি

ঋষিপাড়া একটি হরিজন কমিউনিটি, যেখানে অধিকাংশ মানুষ হিন্দি ভাষায় কথা বলেন। বাংলা ভাষা তাদের জন্য দ্বিতীয় ভাষা হিসেবে বিবেচিত। অনেকের বাংলা পড়া, লেখা ও বলা দক্ষতা খুবই সীমিত। এই ভাষাগত সীমাবদ্ধতার কারণে তারা সমাজ ও শিক্ষার মূলধারার সঙ্গে পুরোপুরি যুক্ত হতে পারে না।এমনকি কিছু কিছু শিশুরা বলে,আমাদের মাতৃভাষা হিন্দি।কারন তারা জন্মের পর থেকে হিন্দি ভাষায় কথা শুনে আসে আর বলে।বাংলা না পারার কারনে অনেক সময় অনেক জায়গায় তারা অবহেলিত হন।ফলে তারা সামনে এগিয়ে সূর্যের আলো না…

On Saturday, October 25th, at 5 am, in the morning breeze, I, Nishat Apu, Parvez Bhai and the GYRF team left for the colorful knowledge fair organized by "BRED" at Manjur Quader Degree College, Nakalia Bera, Pabna, to participate in the knowledge fair. ঋষিপাড়া কমিউনিটিতে ইনডিভিজুয়াল সল্ট সেশনে গিয়ে আমি অনেক মায়ের সঙ্গে কথা বলেছিলাম। প্রত্যেকের চোখে ছিল একটাই স্বপ্ন,তাদের সন্তান যেন স্কুলে যায়, লেখাপড়া শিখে নিজের জীবনে কিছু করে।

এই কমিউনিটিতে শিক্ষার হার খুবই কম। টানবাজার থেকে ঋষিপাড়ায় সিফট হওয়ার পর অনেক মা জানতেনই না, এখানে একটি সরকারি প্রাথমিক বিদ্যালয় আছে। গ্রুপ সল্ট সেশনে যখন বিষয়টি উঠে আসে, তারা বিস্মিত হন। সেদিন থেকেই শুরু হয় তাদের স্বপ্নের পথচলা।
