The future in the voices of children

When we go to the community to do SALT, we often see children coming and going. Most of the time, children are seen moving here and there. However, when we go to the community and sit and talk with them and talk to their parents, the children attention is much higher. They come to us with interest and participate in the story. At this time, the parents also encourage them and express great interest that we sit and talk with their children.

Later, we tried to bring out their dreams, desires and inner strength by talking to the children. We asked them what work do you like to do? What do you think you are good at? What do you want to be in the future?

The children shared their dreams very sincerely. They said that their brother should play football and grow up to be a player, some said that he would be a teacher and some said that he would be a policeman. While saying these words, a different confidence was visible in their eyes. By sharing their willpower and dreams, one can clearly see their own strength and confidence.  Some parents were also surprised to hear, perhaps their children's dreams had never been heard so openly before.

By listening to children's dreams, they learn to understand their own importance. One person's words give courage to another. Such small conversations plant the seeds of confidence, courage, and a positive mindset in them, which creates a strong foundation for their future path.

শিশুদের কণ্ঠে ভবিষ্যৎ

চড় নাকালিয়া কমিউনিটিতে যখন সল্ট করতে যাই তখন লক্ষ্য করা যায়,অনেক সময় শিশুদের আনাগোনা। শিশুদের বেশিরভাগ সময় এখানে সেখানে চলাচল করতে দেখা যায়। তবে যখন আমরা কমিউনিটিতে গিয়ে তাদের সঙ্গে বসে গল্প করি এবং তাদের অভিভাবকদের সঙ্গে কথা বলি, তখন শিশুদের মনোযোগ অনেক বেশি থাকে। তারা আগ্রহের সাথে আমাদের কাছে আসে এবং গল্পে অংশ নেয়। এসময় অভিভাবকরাও তাদের পাশে থেকে উৎসাহ দেন এবং অনেক আগ্রহ প্রকাশ করেন যে, আমরা তাদের শিশুদের সাথে বসে কথা বলি।

পরবর্তীতে শিশুদের সাথে বলে তাদের স্বপ্ন, ইচ্ছা ও ভেতরের শক্তিকে সামনে আনার চেষ্টা করা হয়েছিল। তাদের কাছে জানতে জিজ্ঞেস করেছিলাম তোমাদের কোন কাজটি করতে ভালো লাগে? তুমি কোন বিষয়ে নিজেকে ভালো মনে করো? ভবিষ্যতে তুমি কী হতে চাও?

শিশুরা নিজেদের স্বপ্নের কথা খুব আন্তরিকভাবে শেয়ার করেছিল। তারা বলেছিল তার ভাইয়া ফুটবল খেলো বড় হয়ে সেও খেলোযাড় হবে, কেউ বলে শিক্ষক হবে আবার কেউ বলে পুলিশ । এই কথাগুলো বলার সময় তাদের চোখেমুখে আলাদা এক আত্মবিশ্বাস দেখা যায়। ইচ্ছা শক্তি, স্বপ্নের কথা শেয়ার করার মাধ্যমে এতে তাদের মধ্যে নিজের শক্তি ও আত্মবিশ্বাসের পরিচয় স্পষ্টভাবে লক্ষ্য করা যায়। কিছু অভিভাবকও অবাক হয়ে শুনছিলেন, হয়তো আগে এত খোলামেলা ভাবে তাদের সন্তানদের স্বপ্ন শোনা হয়নি।

শিশুদের স্বপ্ন শোনার মাধ্যমে তারা নিজেদের গুরুত্ব বুঝতে শেখে। একজনের কথা আরেকজনকে সাহস দিচ্ছে। এমন ছোট ছোট আলাপই তাদের মধ্যে আত্মবিশ্বাস, সাহস এবং ইতিবাচক মানসিকতার বীজ রোপণ করে, যা ভবিষ্যতে তাদের পথ চলায় শক্ত ভিত তৈরি করে।

Children and their young and beautiful minds give them the energy to dream big. These children are seeing themselves in a better place in the future today. You are creating an energy in children that will definitely take them to their dreams.
