Knowledge Fair: A unique experience of learning, sharing and community empowerment___

A unique knowledge fair was organized in collaboration with Bangladesh Rural Economic Development (BRED) and the Global Fund for Children.

Finding solutions to real problems, sharing experiences, learning from each other—this mentality is the main strength of the knowledge fair. Here, learning did not mean just listening or seeing—but understanding from within, finding one's reflection in the stories of others.

A new horizon of learning

It was truly a profound experience to see how people are recognizing their inner strength through the SALT and CLCP approaches.

I understood that learning does not only happen from books, but also from real moments in life.

Children, teenagers, adults—all children with special needs were part of this knowledge fair. Some told stories of overcoming life's challenges and moving forward, some showed how they made their dreams a reality as a team.

The stories of empowering the community by using their inner strength were a source of inspiration to wake themselves up. 

After listening to their stories, I felt that change does not start outside, but within us.

The story of the community, my inspiration!!

Each story of the Knowledge Fair seemed to be revealing a new aspect of life.

Some brought about change in their families, some led schools, and some started social initiatives with their neighbors.

After listening to their words, I felt —

“Small changes create big transformations one day.”

I understood that when the community thinks and works together, they become the strength of not only themselves but also the entire society. 

By participating in the Knowledge Fair, I felt like I had entered a new world. For me, the Knowledge Fair is not just an event, but an experience — a unique journey of learning, thinking, and change.

Here, everyone inspired others with their own stories, and found their courage in the stories of others. 

"What SALT and CLCP have taught me

SALT (Support, Appreciate, Listen, Transfer) — deepens relationships through support, appreciation, attentive listening, and sharing. And creates opportunities for learning and growth through supporting and appreciating each other.

CLCP (Community Life Competence Process) teaches — we can understand the problems in our own lives, and find solutions. And gives us the ability to identify and solve the problems of the community.

These two methods have taught me the same thing —

“We ourselves are the key to our own change.”

 My Learning, My Feeling

I have learned some profound lessons from my Knowledge Fair experience —

• Learning begins with listening and sharing.

• Praise and encouragement boost people’s confidence.

• The solution to problems lies within us, not outside.

• Unity is power; change is possible when we work together.

Small initiatives can be the beginning of big transformations.

Knowledge Fair is not just an event for me, but an experience — a unique journey of learning, thinking, and change.

I now believe — “We are all partners in change, if we listen to each other, understand each other, and move forward together.”

নলেজ ফেয়ার: শেখা, ভাগাভাগি আর কমিউনিটির ক্ষমতায়নের অনন্য এক অভিজ্ঞতা___

বাংলাদেশ রুরাল ইকোনোমিক ডেভেলপমেন্ট (ব্রেড) এবং গ্লোবাল ফান্ড ফর চিলড্রেন-এর সহযোগিতায় আয়োজিত হলো এক অনন্য নলেজ ফেয়ার।

বাস্তব সমস্যার সমাধান খুঁজে বের করা, অভিজ্ঞতা ভাগাভাগি করা, একে অপরের থেকে শেখা—এই মানসিকতাই নলেজ ফেয়ারের মূল শক্তি। এখানে শেখার মানে ছিল না শুধু শোনা বা দেখা—বরং মনের ভেতর থেকে উপলব্ধি করা, অন্যের গল্পে নিজের প্রতিচ্ছবি খুঁজে পাওয়া।

শেখার এক নতুন দিগন্ত

সল্ট (SALT) আর সিএলসিপি (CLCP) অ্যাপ্রোচের মাধ্যমে মানুষ কিভাবে নিজেদের ভেতরের শক্তি চিনে নিচ্ছে—তা কাছ থেকে দেখা সত্যিই এক গভীর অভিজ্ঞতা ছিল।
আমি বুঝেছি, শেখা শুধু বই থেকে নয়, বরং জীবনের বাস্তব মুহূর্তগুলো থেকেও হয়।

শিশু, কিশোর-কিশোরী বয়ষ্ক— চাহিদাসম্পন্ন শিশু সবাই এই জ্ঞান মেলার অংশ ছিল। কেউ জীবনের চ্যালেঞ্জ জয় করে এগিয়ে যাওয়ার গল্প বলেছে, কেউ দেখিয়েছে কীভাবে দলগতভাবে স্বপ্নকে বাস্তব করেছে।
নিজেদের ভিতরের শক্তি কাজে লাগিয়ে কমিউনিটির ক্ষমতায়ন করার গল্প ছিলো নিজেকে জাগিয়ে তোলার এক অনুপ্রেরণার উৎস ।
তাদের গল্প শুনে মনে হয়েছে, পরিবর্তন বাইরে নয়, আমাদের ভেতরেই শুরু হয়।

কমিউনিটির গল্প, আমার অনুপ্রেরণা!!

নলেজ ফেয়ারের প্রতিটি গল্প যেন জীবনের নতুন দিক উন্মোচন করছিল।
কেউ নিজের পরিবারে পরিবর্তন এনেছে, কেউ স্কুলে নেতৃত্ব দিয়েছে, কেউ আবার প্রতিবেশীদের নিয়ে সামাজিক উদ্যোগ শুরু করেছে।
তাদের কথা শুনে মনে হয়েছে —
“ছোট ছোট পরিবর্তনই একদিন বড় রূপান্তর তৈরি করে।”

আমি বুঝেছি, কমিউনিটি যখন একসাথে ভাবে, একসাথে কাজ করে, তখন তারা শুধু নিজেদের নয়—পুরো সমাজের শক্তি হয়ে ওঠে।
নলেজ ফেয়ারে অংশ নিয়ে আমি যেন এক নতুন জগতে প্রবেশ করেছিলাম।নলেজ ফেয়ার আমার কাছে শুধু একটি অনুষ্ঠান নয়, বরং একটি অনুভব — শেখা, ভাবা আর পরিবর্তনের এক অনন্য যাত্রা।
এখানে প্রত্যেকে নিজের গল্প দিয়ে অন্যকে অনুপ্রাণিত করেছে, আবার অন্যের গল্পে নিজের সাহস খুঁজে পেয়েছে।
"সল্ট ও সিএলসিপি আমাকে যা শিখিয়েছে

SALT (Support, Appreciate, Listen, Transfer) — একে অপরকে সমর্থন, প্রশংসা, মনোযোগ দিয়ে শোনা এবং শেখা ভাগাভাগির মাধ্যমে সম্পর্ককে গভীর করে।এবং একে অপরকে সমর্থন ও প্রশংসা করার মাধ্যমে শেখা ও বিকাশের সুযোগ তৈরি করে।
CLCP (Community Life Competence Process) শেখায় — নিজের জীবনের সমস্যা আমরা নিজেরাই বুঝতে পারি, আর সমাধানও খুঁজে নিতে পারি। এবং কমিউনিটির সমস্যা চিনে নিয়ে সমাধান করার ক্ষমতা দেয়।
এই দু’টি পদ্ধতি আমাকে একটাই জিনিস শিখিয়েছে —
“আমরা নিজেরাই আমাদের পরিবর্তনের চাবিকাঠি।”
আমার শেখা, আমার অনুভব
নলেজ ফেয়ারের অভিজ্ঞতা থেকে আমি কিছু গভীর শিক্ষা পেয়েছি —

• শোনা ও ভাগাভাগি করা থেকেই শেখা শুরু হয়।

• প্রশংসা ও উৎসাহ মানুষের আত্মবিশ্বাস বাড়ায়।

•সমস্যার সমাধান আমাদের ভেতরেই আছে, বাইরে নয়।

• একত্রিত হওয়াই শক্তি; একসাথে কাজ করলে পরিবর্তন সম্ভব।

ছোট উদ্যোগই হতে পারে বড় রূপান্তরের সূচনা।
নলেজ ফেয়ার আমার কাছে শুধু একটি অনুষ্ঠান নয়, বরং একটি অনুভব — শেখা, ভাবা আর পরিবর্তনের এক অনন্য যাত্রা।
আমি এখন বিশ্বাস করি —“আমরা সবাই পরিবর্তনের অংশীদার, যদি আমরা একে অপরকে শুনি, বুঝি, এবং একসাথে এগিয়ে যাই।”
