একটানা বৃষ্টি সমস্ত কমিউনিটি কর্দমাক্ত, জনজীবন অতিষ্ট।  এরই মধ্যে কমিউনিটির কয়েকজনকে একত্রে নিয়ে বসে ম্যাসকুলায়নিটির গ্রুপ সল্ট করলাম। সেখানে আমি একটা প্রশ্ন করলাম সবাই কে উদ্দেশ্য করে।  আমি বললাম, সকালে উঠে মহিলারা রান্না এবং বাড়ির কাজ শেষ করে।তারপর পুরুষ মহিলা দুজনেই খেয়ে দেয়ে কাজে চলে যায়। দুপুর বেলা এসে পুরুষ রা খেয়ে দেয়ে ঘুমিয়ে পড়ে। মহিলারাও বাইরে ক্ষেতমজুর দিনমজুরের কাজ করে এসে খেয়ে দেয়ে বাড়ির আনুষাঙ্গিক কাজ করে। তখনও পুরুষ টা ঘুমিয়ে থাকে।  ঘুম থেকে ডেকে মহিলারা আবার তাদের সাথে নদীতে মাছ ধরতে যায়। মাছ ধরে এসে পুরুষ টা দোকানে গিয়ে আড্ডা মারে। মহিলাটা এসে আবার রান্না বান্না করে।  এই যে মহিলা টা এতো পরিশ্রম করে। কি কারনে করে?  পুরুষদের কি বাড়ির কাজ করা নিষেধ?  তখন তারাই বিষয় টি নিয়ে আলোচনা শুরু করে।  কেউ কেউ বলে এভাবে তো কখনোই ভেবে দেখিনি।মহিলারা  দিনমজুর এর কাজ করে পরিবারের জন্য সমপরিমাণ অর্থ উপার্জন করে আসে।  তাহলে তো বাড়ির কাজে আমরা তাদের সাহায্য সহযোগিতা করতে পারি। এই বিষয় টা তাদের বিবেক কে নাড়া দেয়।  তারা সবাই একমত পোষণ করে, যে তারা এখন থেকে বাড়ির কাজে মহিলাদের সহযোগিতা করবে।

Continuous rain has made the entire community muddy, public life miserable. In the meantime, I sat down with some of the community members and held a group discussion on masculinity. There, I asked a question to whom everyone was referring. I said, women get up in the morning and finish cooking and housework.Then both the man and the woman eat and go to work. When noon comes, the men eat and fall asleep. The women also work outside as daily wage laborers in the fields, eat and do household chores. The men are still asleep.The women woke up and went fishing with them in the river again.After catching fish, the man goes to the shop and chats. The woman comes back and cooks again. This woman works so hard. Why does she do it? Are men forbidden from doing housework? Then they start discussing the topic. Some say, "I've never thought of it like this."Women work as daily wage laborers and earn the same amount of money for the family. Then we can help them with household chores. This issue touches their conscience. They all agree that from now on they will help women with household chores.

পুরুষরাও গৃহকর্মে অংশ নিতে পারে এবং নারীদের সহায়তা করা উচিত। এটি ছিল একটি ইতিবাচক মানসিক পরিবর্তনের সূচনা।
