পেচাঁকোলা কমিউনিটির মধ্যে অগ্রগামী বিদ্যানিকেতন স্কুলের অবস্থান। এই স্কুলের শিক্ষক রিজভি। কিছুদিন আগে তার সাথে “পুরুষত্ব” বিষয় নিয়ে একটি সল্ট আলোচনা হয়। সেই আলোচনার পর থেকে রিজভি ভাবতে থাকেন—এই বিষয়ে স্কুলের ছেলে-মেয়েদের সচেতন করা দরকার। সমাজে পুরুষত্ব নিয়ে অনেক ভুল ধারণা আছে।

তিনি ভাবেন, যদি ছোটবেলা থেকেই ছেলেমেয়েরা বুঝতে শেখে যে—পুরুষত্ব মানে শুধু শক্তি না, বরং দয়া, সহানুভূতি, সম্মান আর দায়িত্ব নেওয়াও এর বড় অংশ, তাহলে তারা বড় হয়ে আরও মানবিক মানুষ হয়ে উঠবে।

এই চিন্তা থেকেই তিনি এখন তার ক্লাসে সময় পেলেই এই বিষয়টা নিয়ে কথা বলেন। ছোট ছোট গল্প বলেন, বিশেষ করে মিনা আর রাজু কার্টুন এর জেন্ডার ভিত্তিক গল্পটি বলেন, প্রশ্ন করেন, ছেলেমেয়েদের মতামত চান। কেউ কিছু ভুল বুঝলে শান্তভাবে বোঝান।

রিজভি এই চেষ্টায় ধীরে ধীরে ক্লাসে পরিবর্তন আসছে। ছেলেমেয়েরা এখন ভাবছে, শিখছে, আর একজন আরেকজনকে সম্মান করছে।

এইভাবে রিজভি ছোট একটা জায়গা থেকেও বড় একটা পরিবর্তনের দিকে পা বাড়াচ্ছে। যা শিশুদের মানুষিক বেড়ে উঠার জন্য অনেক হেল্পফুল হচ্ছে।

In the Pechakola community, Agragami Bidyaniketan School is located. A teacher of this school is Rizvi. A few days ago, there was a SALT discussion with him about 'masculinity. After that, he started thinking – it’s important to talk to the students about what real masculinity means

In society, many people have wrong ideas about masculinity. Mr. Rizvi thinks that if children learn from a young age that masculinity doesn’t just mean being strong but also being kind, caring, respectful, and responsible, they will grow up to be better and kinder people.

So now, whenever he gets time in his class, Mr Rizvi talks about these things. He tells short stories, especially from Meena and Raju cartoons, where they talk about boys and girls being equal. He asks the students questions and listens to what they think. If someone says something wrong, he calmly explains it.

Slowly, things are changing in the classroom. The students are thinking more, learning new things, and treating each other with respect.

In this way, Mr Rizvi is helping the students understand true masculinity and grow up to be good people.
