Bonsoir Rituu,

Thank you Rituu. For your kind information:

About Indian Drug User Forum (IDUF): Just in  an infant status and need support from all walk of life to make it happens..

The Indian Drug User Forum (IDUF) is a network of former and active drug users in India. It was initiated in Delhi by more than 40 individuals who are former drug users and OST service consumers; on the 26th of June 2009. Its initiation was with active mentoring support from the Lawyers Collective, Delhi Network of Positive People (DNP+), Sharan, ITPC India and the Indian Harm Reduction network.

IDUF had its first National General Assembly on the 9th of August 2010, and was linked to the National Harm Reduction Scale up Strategy Consultation held in Delhi. Its membership has expanded since then and it currently has people who use currently use drugs, who are Harm Reduction service consumers and former users who are engaged in HIV prevention programs among people who inject drugs. Its membership is spread out over the country and specifically strong participation from states/ districts which has injecting drug use as a driving force of the HIV pandemic.

IDUF also has formal linkages with Regional networks like the Asian Network of People who Use Drugs (ANPUD), the 7 Sisters and the Asian Network of People living with HIV (APN+).

 More later. Best wishes, Bobby,IHRN

Thanks so much for the valuable information, Rituu. I agree with you that it is best in PAR when the research partners identify the relevant research questions around a topic of mutual concern. I intend to apply that in my own research. The PAR is just a part of the dissertation and my research partners will contribute in all the phases of that part of the study. I will visit the link you provided to learn more about your project. Which guide to PAR did you find the most useful going to the field?

Peace,

Haddy.

Hi Rituu,

Thanks for the warm welcome and I am glad to know that there are people I can share and learn from as far as participatory action research goes. I plan to apply it as part of my dissertation research. At present, I am immersing myself into the various theories and techniques of carrying out this method of research. As far as practice goes, no solid experience yet. I would however be willing to share and exchange references. What subject did you apply PAR to and which country? Again thanks so much.

Peace,

Haddy.
