Youth does not mean any restrictions. Just as the enthusiasm of youth gives courage to cross the sea, so at this age it gives courage to conquer the Himalayas. Wherever the eye will see the victory of youth. In Bangladesh since August 20, 2024 several areas including Comilla, Noakhali, Feni, Chittagong have been flooded. A few days ago we held a group SALT with youth volunteers in the Pechakola community about the current flood situation and the discussion on how to stand by the flood victims came up. They themselves take the initiative to stand by the flood victims by collecting donations from various places including community markets, schools, colleges etc. For that purpose the youth have started working. As a result they have been able to collect donations from different places. They do think if there is ever such a flood in the community, then we all in the community will face the flood together. This appreciate through SALT has helped them a lot. Individual SALT has played an important role with the youth. Group Salt has played an important role with the youth. It is as if they have woken up by awakening the strength in them. Awakening the energy in them is like waking them up. For some days ago they remained neutral in favor of the Hindu community, guarding the temple of the community. We should appreciate the youth more so that they can play a role in the community.

তারুণ্য মানে কোন সীমাবদ্ধতা নয়। তারুণ্যের উদ্যমে যেমন সাগর পাড়ি দেওয়ার সাহস জোগায়, তেমনি এই বয়সেও সাহস যোগায় হিমালয় জয়ের। যেদিকে চোখ পড়বে তারুণ্যের জয়। বাংলাদেশে গত ২০ আগস্ট, ২০২৪ থেকে কুমিল্লা, নোয়াখালী, ফেনী, চট্টগ্রামসহ বেশ কিছু এলাকা প্লাবিত হয়েছে। কিছু দিন আগে আমরা বর্তমান বন্যা পরিস্থিতি নিয়ে পেচাকোলা সম্প্রদায়ের যুব স্বেচ্ছাসেবকদের নিয়ে একটি গ্রুপ সল্টের আয়োজন করেছিলাম এবং কীভাবে বন্যার্তদের পাশে দাঁড়াতে হবে সে বিষয়ে আলোচনা হয়েছিল। তারা নিজেরাই কমিউনিটি মার্কেট, স্কুল, কলেজসহ বিভিন্ন জায়গা থেকে অনুদান সংগ্রহ করে বন্যা দুর্গতদের পাশে দাঁড়ানোর উদ্যোগ নেয়। সে লক্ষ্যে তরুণরা কাজ শুরু করেছে। ফলে তারা বিভিন্ন জায়গা থেকে অনুদান সংগ্রহ করতে সক্ষম হয়েছে। তারা চিন্তা করেন, কমিউনিটিতে যদি কখনো এমন বন্যা হয়, তাহলে আমরা সবাই মিলে বন্যা মোকাবেলা করব। সল্টের মাধ্যমে এই প্রেরণা তাদের অনেক সাহায্য করেছে। স্বতন্ত্র সল্ট তরুণদের সাথে একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা পালন করেছে। তাদের মধ্যে শক্তি জাগ্রত করাই যেন তারা জেগে উঠেছে। তারা কিছুদিন আগেও কমিউনিটিতে মন্দির পাহারা দেওয়া, হিন্দু সম্প্রদায়ের পাশে নিরপেক্ষভাবে থেকেছিল। আমাদের তরুণদের আরও বেশি প্রশংসা করা উচিত যাতে তারা সমাজে ভূমিকা রাখতে পারে।
