মুন্সিগঞ্জের তালতলা কমিউনিটির একদল কিশোর – হাসান, সয়ন, চঞ্চল, অভি এবং জব্বার – একদিন স্বপ্ন দেখেছিল তাদের জীবনে কিছু পরিবর্তন আনার। তারা সবাই ম্যাস্কুলিনিটি গ্রুপের সদস্য। আমি তাদের সঙ্গে একটি ড্রিম বিল্ডিং সেশন পরিচালনা করি, যেখানে তারা খোলামেলা আলোচনা করে নিজেদের স্বপ্ন ও আগ্রহ নিয়ে।

আলোচনায় তারা জানায়, তারা খেলাধুলা করতে ভালোবাসে। কিন্তু সমস্যা হলো – তাদের কমিউনিটিতে কোনো নিজস্ব খেলার মাঠ নেই। স্কুল মাঠে খেলতে গেলেও একসাথে অনেক দল আসে, ফলে তারা নিয়মিত খেলতে পারে না।
এই সীমাবদ্ধতা থেকেই তাদের মাথায় আসে এক অনন্য ধারণা —
👉 “যদি আমরা নিজেরাই একটা মাঠ তৈরি করতে পারি?

এই ভাবনা থেকেই শুরু হয় তাদের যাত্রা।
তারা দেখে, কমিউনিটির পাশেই একটি পরিত্যক্ত খালি জায়গা, যা আগাছায় ভরা এবং বছরের পর বছর অব্যবহৃত পড়ে আছে। হাসান ও তার বন্ধুরা সিদ্ধান্ত নেয়, এই জায়গাটিকেই তারা নিজেদের খেলার মাঠে পরিণত করবে।

তারা একে একে অন্য কিশোরদের যুক্ত করে, এবং সবাই মিলে জায়গাটি পরিষ্কার করা শুরু করে। আগাছা পরিষ্কার, মাটি সমান করা, চারপাশে পরিস্কার-পরিচ্ছন্নতা — এই কাজগুলো তারা নিজেদের হাতে করে।
এ যেন শুধু একটি মাঠ তৈরির কাজ নয়, বরং কমিউনিটির পরিবর্তনের শুরু।

এই উদ্যোগের সবচেয়ে সুন্দর দিকটি হলো — তারা শুধু খেলাধুলার কথা ভাবেনি, ভেবেছে কিভাবে এর মাধ্যমে অন্যদেরও বদলানো যায়।
কমিউনিটিতে আগে কিছু কিশোর মাদকাসক্ত হয়ে পড়েছিল। কিন্তু হাসান ও তার বন্ধুদের বিশ্বাস —

> “যদি আমরা নিয়মিত খেলাধুলার পরিবেশ তৈরি করতে পারি, তাহলে অনেকেই মাদক থেকে দূরে থাকতে পারবে এবং ইতিবাচক জীবনের দিকে ফিরে আসবে।”

আজ সেই স্বপ্ন বাস্তবে রূপ নিয়েছে।
যে মাঠটি একসময় আগাছায় ঢাকা ছিল, সেটি এখন হাসি, খেলাধুলা আর বন্ধুত্বে ভরা একটি জীবন্ত কমিউনিটি স্পেস।
এখানে শুধু খেলা নয়, গড়ে উঠছে শৃঙ্খলা, ঐক্য, এবং ইতিবাচক মানসিকতা।

🌼 আমার রিফ্লেকশন (Reflection):

এই সেশনে ফ্যাসিলিটেটর হিসেবে কাজ করা আমার জন্য এক গভীর শেখার অভিজ্ঞতা।
আমি দেখেছি, পরিবর্তন কখনও বাইরে থেকে আসে না — তা মানুষের মনের ভেতর থেকে শুরু হয়।
SALT অ্যাপ্রোচের মাধ্যমে এই কিশোররা তাদের নিজের শক্তি, সম্ভাবনা ও নেতৃত্বের ক্ষমতা চিনতে পেরেছে।
তারা প্রমাণ করেছে, যখন মানুষ নিজের উপর বিশ্বাস রাখে এবং একসাথে কাজ করে, তখন ছোট্ট একটি পদক্ষেপ থেকেও বড় পরিবর্তন শুরু হতে পারে।

এই গল্পটি আমাকে আরও একবার মনে করিয়ে দিয়েছে —
🌱 পরিবর্তন মানে শুধু পরিস্কার মাঠ নয়, এটি হলো আশার নতুন বীজ বপন।

A group of teenagers from the Taltola community in Munshiganj — Hasan, Sayan, Chanchol, Abhi, and Jabbar — once dreamed of bringing change into their lives. They are all members of a masculinity group. I facilitated a dream-building session with them, where they openly shared their aspirations and interests.

During the discussion, they said they love playing sports. But the problem was — their community had no playground of its own. When they went to the school field, too many teams gathered at the same time, so they could not play regularly.

From this limitation came a unique idea —
👉 “What if we create our own playground?”

And this thought marked the beginning of their journey.

They noticed an abandoned, unused piece of land next to the community — overgrown with weeds and left unattended for years. Hasan and his friends decided that they would turn this very space into their own playground.

They gradually involved other teenagers, and together they started cleaning the area. Clearing weeds, leveling the ground, cleaning the surroundings — they did everything with their own hands.

It was not just the making of a field; it was the beginning of change in their community.

The most beautiful part of this initiative is that they didn’t think only about sports — they thought about how this could bring positive change to others as well.

Some teenagers in the community had previously fallen into drug addiction. But Hasan and his friends believed —

> “If we can create a space for regular sports, many will stay away from drugs and return to a positive lifestyle.”

Today, that dream has become a reality.

The land that was once covered with weeds has now become a lively community space filled with joy, sports, and friendship.

Here, it’s not just about playing — it’s about building discipline, unity, and a positive mindset.

Facilitating this session was a deeply enriching learning experience for me.

I realized that change never comes from the outside — it begins within people’s minds.

Through the SALT approach, these teenagers recognized their own strengths, possibilities, and leadership capacities.

They proved that when people believe in themselves and work together, even a small step can spark big transformation.

This story reminded me once again —
🌱 Change doesn’t only mean a clean playground; it is the planting of new seeds of hope.
