From March 16 to March 20, I had the opportunity to conduct an interview survey of some people from the Dalit community. To listen openly to their own thoughts. When we told them about the interview, they were hesitant at first. They was afraid to say something. But when I and Aashirbad's facilitator, Shantidi were able to convince them that the information would be kept confidential from us and they would not have to face any kind of harassment, they agreed. Our organization is working with two communities. A Beanpara is another Harijan village. Although two different communities, their underlying problems are very similar. When we asked them if anyone takes any initiative in the community? They all say no in one sentence. They express their anger that no one in the society ever comes forward to solve any problem. If anyone comes forward on their own, the community panchayat leaders block it. Panchayat leaders play a role in solving community problems according to their own interests. There is no evaluation of common man's opinion. The people of the community also expressed their regret that they are already far behind and neglected from the core population of the society. But they are also more neglected in Dalit community. Puppet of the powerful person of the society. They are captives in the hands of powerful people. They are forced to do whatever the leaders of the society say. When they refuse to do so, they are harassed in various ways, socially harassed. They all want to improve this situation. They want to solve their problems independently and live freely.

Sneha, your blog underscores how power dynamics exist even within marginalized communities, with certain individuals/groups exerting influence. Thank you
