There is a saying in English, "The wearer knows best where the shoe pinches". Mean he who hurts is understood best. We also think that the problems of every community, every society are known and understood only by the people of that society. So before we do anything, we first sit down with our community and try to understand their needs.

In continuation of this, Ashirbad went to Bin Para last week to hear their problems from their mouths. We were accompanied by Shantidi of Ashirbad, Ranjan Dada of Desh Organization as our support partner and one of our facilitator. Working through SALT will build up ownership among each community member so that they become adept at solving their own problems. We have open discussions with everyone in Bin Para to understand how this SALT term of the Arc Project will work in the community. Various issues are discussed with the aim of working together with community members to ensure their participation in this work.

The members present commit themselves to cooperate with us. We hope that with the joint participation and cooperation of all these backward Dalit groups of the society will start moving into the mainstream of the society. "Arshirbad" will always be by their side to help them earn their place in society by acquiring ownership.

well Ritu. We didn't inform the community much about our project right now, we just randomly talked about their problem and they unconsciously gone through the process to share their own problem and promise to be with us.

Thanks for the blog. What did you inform the community about the project?
