Sharing my experience about SALT training

Hi. I'm Sneha Farzana, volunteer of Arshirbad, a non- profit organization.

Last 17th and 18th November,2023, I had an opportunity to join the SALT (Stimulate, Appreciate, Learn,Transfer) Training organized by GFC (Global fund for children) on behalf of Arshirbad. It was a great pleasure and honor for me to have a chance to talk to a person like Ritu.  As a foreigner I assumed she would be the straightforward and serious type.  But she was so friendly and cheerful that in an instant all fear and nervousness were removed from my mind.  I don't know if any other trainer does this by repeatedly calling and searching, discussing a topic, asking again and again if I understood.  And Nawaz bhai was explaining everything to us very clearly how to do it.  Ritu and Nawaz bhai were helping us when we could not decide after some discussion. They are very flexible. Special thanks to Nazmus Sadat Bhai for making it easy for us to translate all the time. 

Training is basically a one-on-one process where the trainer talks in detail but here we all got a chance to talk.  We were all discussing a problem together and we were finding the solution, doing home work.As a result of working as a team, we were able to learn what is the cohort,  what is its importance, what is the work. The main objective of the training was how to gain ownership in the community through SALT-conversation by the facilitators of the organization.  Planned on what can be implemented and decided to stick to it.We all also decided to connect each other through online base Share Buddy Activities and Learning Circle. 

12 people from 6 different organizations came from all over Bangladesh in the training.  Everyone was very helpful and nice. I want to show my gratitude to all those beautiful and kind hearted people.

Thanks to GFC for selecting me for training.It is a great experience to me.
